Hey everone, as you no or dont no i just purchased a 05 saleen s281, im kinda new to mustangs been a camaro lover untill they stoped makeing them.
The last sports car i had was a 2000 camaro z28. Then when i moved from texas to New York I was commuting alot into the city and i was getting mad tired of always shifting up and down(the car was manual). So i decided to get an old truck that i could beat up in the mean time. After a couple years i missed the shifting, hard to belive right, Well anyway i was looking for some tips on upgrading the car in the long run some good exhaust and stuff i no it comes with sweet exhaust already but i hate haveing cars stock. Well anway if you could post some stuff i would be happy it thanks alot.
Dam man your preety good i spoke to Carlos Ramirez and he got me one, i think they had to get it from some dealer in florida not sure though all i no is it is being shiped form 2 different place before it gets to my dealership which is, Mcdaniels ford in levitown.NY
I think that car was originally sold to Rich ford in NM. I know they had #18. BTW, that was one of the very first ones produced for the public, if not the first. That car is gonna be a collector. I am friends with the sales mgr there, and he actually drove that car before it was shipped off. He said it handled way better than the 04's. Any plans to mod it?

Ya im gunna take good care of it, well thank you for giving me a little information about it, i didnt no it was the first one made dam! i plan to upgrade the exhaust but i dont wanna mess with anything els ya no, What happens if i mod the engine and something happens because i modded it, they mite not cover it under warrenty. Or something like that ,since you no alot about it, what type of exhaust you think i should put on it.
It's got a pretty good exhaust right now. What Saleen did for 05 was go with a chambered muffler system, where channels open up under load for more flow. It isn't that loud just cruising around, unless you drive it hard. You could go with an aftermarket exhaust; you'll pick up a little more sound, but you won't gain much hp, if any. Yeah, if you do any internal mods it could void your warranty. One thing you couold do is tune it. Maybe consider getting a hand held programmer, like a Diablo predator. That won't void anything, and will net you more horses. Maybe also do a cold air intake, when it becomes avalible. You don't need to do much else, unless you wanted to go for broke and slap a blower on it. You have a 325 hp car, untuned. Not bad if you ask me...
