6.0 GTO

Was driving around last night and came upon a red 6.0 GTO. At first, he didn't take me seriously at all but I guess he heard my exhaust and then came up right on my side. We went from about a 40 roll as soon as we took off I pulled about a bumper on him and then we were even until we let off early 4th gear. Fun race though, I am glad I beat him.

And I forgot to mention I had a passenger and he was alone.

There was an LS2 GTO at the track tonight running 13.4's to 13.6's. It sounded like he at least had exhaust. <<<If that gives you an idea.

EDIT: And I know the LS2 GTO's are capable of very low 13's or high 12's. I'm just saying what I saw. To be fair also, I am basing my assumption that it was an LS2 based on the 05+ hood. It coulda been a swap...

You got that right, and I'll start it off by saying with his mods (CAI,tune,exhaust) in a convertable w/ passenger,there is no way he's pulling on a LS2 GTO from a roll ,anything can happen from a dig, but from a roll , no chance........Something went wrong somewhere...

Yeah, I didn't think I was going to win either, that is why I was so happy I won, I have a GTech Pro, I know they aren't the most accurate devices but I get constant 0-60's of 4.6 and quarter miles of 13.1- 13.3 with a 60 foot time of about 2.1, it also said i had 310.5 whp

If your trapping 108-110 then I could see a neck and neck roll race.......But I have never heard of an S197 with your mods trapping that high..especially a vert with an extra passenger........I guess anything is possible on the street (even roll races....lol)....Good kill!!

Nice kill, but from a 40 roll he must have messed up somehow. And how do you signify you won? You said you took the lead by a bumper and then you were even when you let off in early 4th. If you were even when you let off, how did you win?

I'm sure you are quick out of the hole....but you have to realize that 60 ft. times and ET's don't determine how fast a car's potentialis on WOT which is all a roll race is.....especially when starting from a 40 roll which was the case in your encounter...
