Has anybody ever had a good race with a 4-cylinder car?
Has anybody ever had a good race with a 4-cylinder car in their 5.0?
Like a Honda or something of that sort.......
I did...It was a Del Sol with a Type-R Integra motor swap. He launched hard right off the line and got me by like half a car(about the length of my hood) and then about half way through third I was about to pass him but then we had to shut down.

I was with my starion/conquest buddys tonight. We dyno's 89 starion esi-r@229rwhp and 307 rwtq @18psi. Of course I have bone stock 92 5.0 GT vert auto, from a roll at 65, can you say later mustang, coz that thing is a damn rocket. Give me a couple months, once I got a couple shackels in my mustang, we shall see who pulls who on teh freeway.

nice.. what all does your buddy have done to the starion?... I always thought one of those would be a fun car to try and make fast for cheap... don't they have bad electrical problems though?

poor poor civic drivers... When I was at the track, they opened it up so imports and real cars can stage against eachother.. It was like see-ya!!! Left them about half way down the track.
RE: Has anybody ever had a good race with a 4-cylinder car?
How fast do you think I will do the 1/4 mile? I have Automatic Overdrive, I would go to the track, but really I'm waiting until I have time to do the manual transmission conversion because I'm afraid of being beat by some ricer with $10k in the engine. I don't care how much he spent, I am not about to be beat by some punk kid in a ricer, lol.
Do you think I should hold my own even though I'm automatic?
My mods are:
Tokico adjustable shocks
MAC off-road H-pipe
Steeda cat-back exhausts (not sure what kind, the previous owner had them installed)
MSD blaster TFI ignition coil
MSD distributor cap and rotor
Ford 9mm spark plug wires
K&N filter (ricer's mod, lol, soon to get the cone shaped one though)
Got some wider than normal tires, 245 in the rear which should help with eliminating wheel spin
hm, can't think of anything else, that could be it...
RE: Has anybody ever had a good race with a 4-cylinder car?
With an auto I would say somewhere in the mid 15's... I have seen a guy with new tires, headers, full exhaust, a custom chip, and a stall in an AOD run 17's... I don't know.. Can't be a bad driver, it's an auto for goodness sake... I would say get a t-5!! lol... But it depends on location/weather/traction, etc.
