Isn't it time for a moderator to shut this one down?  Now he's bumping it to the top without even saying anything in the posts!

I'm watching it gang, but at this point it hasn't gone too far over the top and he really isn't belligerent.  Unfortunately there have been some issues with the '06 E cars and there are a few in here that are communicating "respectfully" with each other.  Now if we fill up the rest of this page with useless banter, or it turns more "destructive" - I'll shut 'er down.   So please, lets not make me use my powers

no company is perfect

while preping my zo6  they damaged a seat rail taking the plastic off,   when I took it back they scratchd the door panel taking the seat out
basic oil change for srt 10, scratchd both front wheels ( putting it on the lift)

to me just sounds fishy that someone is so irate that they have to bash saleen constantly

id still buy gm, dodge, ford  etc

all my experiences so far with saleen are positive,  now theres another company ive recently began using that is HIGHLY respected here,

that ive so far have had nothing but problems with.....(order came 3 weeks later, missing parts, etc, 5 hang ups when i call back, over a week after my order is placed they finally realize they need my computer number for a tune, an now the latest air intake part missing from kit)

so id say every company has its  issues

OK man, for the last time - PLEASE use some punctuation!!!!!!!  You just might get a few more people to read your statements and maybe even respect them.  But when you post 14 lines of text with only 4 periods/capital letters - well I just don't have the patience or respect to even try.  However I did happen to catch something about 80 grand and a Lambo Diablo........um, yeah - good luck with that

While you are entitled to your opinions, please understand that you don't have to come across as being so irate.  There are others in here that do share your frustrations and have had poor experiences with  Saleen & the Dealers.  But please understand that there are also MORE of us in here that are happy and have even had decent experiences with Saleen & Dealer services.

I'm not sure of your status.  Do you currently own a '06 Saleen Extreme (because that IS what this thread is supposed to be about), or any Saleen or have you sold them and given up   Either way - give us a break man, calm down and communicate with us all on a civil level or do as our friend Amy suggests....move on.

SALEEN100, may of us have felt some of the frustration that you have, including me. However, it seems every single post from you is bashing Saleen. I don't understand how this is helping the rest of us, or you for that matter. We're here to comiserate when a member is frustrated or disappointed, but the hope is that we can all move on to more positive topics. Every one of your posts is a bash! I am sorry you have been through such difficulties with your car. But if all you can do is vent and berate, you are going to wear out your welcome here. We're on this forum because we LOVE the car. It's not perfect and many of us have been disappointed at times. But overall we're ENTHUSIASTS. If they can help you in any way, I'm sure many of the fantastic people on this forum will give all they have. Otherwise, perhaps it's time for you to move on.

(perhaps the Camaro forum would love to hear your tale of woe)

For what it is worth I can sympathize with Saleen100's frustration and attitude and believe he has the right to share it however he sees fit, I can remember the blasting Sam the jeep man gave to Saleen, DB2 and others, I don’t remember anyone telling Sam to tone it down and we should not censor Saleen100 either.  Saleen should have taken better care of these people.  As I have stated in other threads, time will tell if Saleen will truly change their ways.  Saleen reps on this and other forums is a step forward and I would love to here the rest of the story regarding some of the complaints involving the Extreme yet no one has attempted to defend it or explain it.  I have posted good and bad experiences with Saleen; if things don’t improve I won’t buy from them again.

As for Saleen100, read his posts if you care to, pass over them if you don’t or block him if you must, but don’t tell him not to be angry, Saleen grew that attitude in him and only Saleen can fix it.

Tim, taking the path less trodden.

Actually tim, your point is well taken. I am not for censoring SALEEN100, but would rather see a post on the issues someone has and then updates on the progress of the actions taken. Although it is clearly someones right to continously post negative thoughts on a subject, you will eventually turn everyone off to your cause.

Take the Critical Mass bike ride in San Francisco the last Friday of every month, for example. The original objective was to expose people to the benifits of bike riding and show how you can get around by bike in SF. What it has turned into is an "in-your-face" assault and became an "us against them" thing and wore out their welcome. This is not a perfect analogy, but serves to tell us that everytime someone posts a critical thread, Sam The Jeep Man and DB2, it will eventually begin to fall on deaf ears and patience then becomes lost. I mean no offense to SALLEN100, so I appologize if I do so.

All of us here all want to see you, Sam, tim and DB happy as we get no enjoyment out of someone having troubles with their car. Hopefully, we will see a positive result and get your ride running properly and back on the road as soon as possible

                                Jaz

Jazzer, my post was not directed at you particularly, you were just the last person that posted.  I think I am going to be up and running by Monday.  As I try to be fair, I am dealing with a dealership that is not a Saleen dealer, their sister dealer used to be, but stopped selling them a few years ago. The dealer has been great trying to take care of me, but the communication between the two has been a strain at times.    Hopefully the problem will be solved on Monday.

I will post in a new thread the results, I was trying not to make my previous post about me, but for those that had more serious issues, I guess I failed at that one.

I guess my point is, does this guy have a 2006 E?  I don't remember him posting that he has a 2006 E, but if he does he is certainly entitled to be upset.  If he doesn't then he doesn't need to be adding fuel to the fire in a post that is supposed to be for 2006 E owners.

Also, punctuation would be nice and less attitude and cussing would be more welcome.  I recall Sam's issues and I don't remember him yelling and cussing and laying upon us the mother of all run-on sentences.  Sure you could tell he was mad, and who could blame him - but he was civil in here when communicating to us.  I read all of his posts with interest and respect - just like I have read all of yours while you've gone through your ordeal.  Like I told somebody else in another thread - there are quite a few people in here that have had their issues but yet they communicate well and are helpfull.  I don't consider his communcations (lately anyway) to be helpful, and they are damn hard to read

I wish we could just all get along and everyone get their issues fixed so everyone can be out enjoying their Saleens

Yes i do have a E car and I am very upset - because of Saleen's careless customer service, and cheaply made car that we paid so much money for (because we love the Saleen name)  But, its nothing but disapointment to most of us.  Insted of them trying to resolve issues, and take care of there good customer (who has bought many saleens in the past) they just slap us in the face and say:  "sorry leave a message and one of our tech or warrenty guys will get back to you"   The car just sits there collecting dust, and nobody gives a crap about whats going to happen or what should be done.   We continue to pay our monthely payments, and not even get to drive the car or enjoy it.   Its parked at the dealer next to 5 others with the same problems - for months! So unless they start to show some improvment and take care of all the issues they have (with customers, warrenty and dealers) I will never buy another Saleen.  And, I  will tell everyone that the car is just a big disapointment to me.  It never was before - when they took there time and built a bad-ass car.  Now its all about pushin them out ASAP and making the bucks. What happens?  They all sit at the dealer with the same issue - parked there for  months.  When you call to see whats up, the service advisor says"  "I called those basterds 40 times, emailed them and no one gets back to me!"  Or the parts are on back order for months!  LOL - on brand new car!  Now tell me why I shouldnt be pissssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssseddddddddddd.

Dude - why won't you PLEASE use some frickin punctuation, and stop taking your frustrations out on US   WE are not Saleen, WE are not the dealer, and WE are certainly not saying you shouldn't be frustrated or are not entitled to your opinions.  Heck, you just might get more people to agree with you and better yet, actually READ what you are trying to say.  Man you make it tough - just settle down and communicate with us - nobody here is mad at you or trying to say you shouldn't be mad about your situation.  If I was in your shoes I would be spending my time communicating with my attorneys and the dealer/saleen instead of ranting in here.

Where are you from?  Who is the dealer involved?  Perhaps its time to make idel threats to the dealer to get them to step up - or better yet take it to another dealer.   Unfortunatley there are a lot of dealers out there that should NOT be Saleen dealers

Saleen100,
I'm very sympathetic to fellow owners, who have problems, with Saleen or its' dealers. However, you don't write as if you are old enough to own a bicycle; let alone a car.
Please make better use of your time, at Cub Scout Internet Camp, or wherever you post from, and leave us alone.
TIA.

He did use some punctuation.  I count at least 2 periods in that big block of text.  Other than that my eyes water when looking at that big wall o' text.

There - I used my mod powers and edited his post with some punctuatioin.  Now that I can read it, I actually feel for you there saleen100 and hope you get some closure on your car.  I still question the dealer side of the equation - you might do yourself a favor and call some of the other dealers in your area.  It may mean more miles, but it could mean a fix and less frustration.  You should also follow Sams advice on page 2 of this topic and contact that person at Saleen directly - just remember to punctuate and be civil or they will probably just blow you off

My biggest question to you is WHY would you leave your car at the dealer for "months" and still be making payments?  Seems there should be some legal recourse on that.  Is the car even driveable?  If so I would have it in my garage until the issue with parts was resolved between the dealer and Saleen.  No way I would leave my car even overnight for all the hounds and gawkers to run their grimey mits all over

Good luck, and remember - punctuation is your friend

After reading again, this quote strikes me as a problem.  If this is indeed an accurate quote, then I believe you are using the wrong dealer.  While Saleen may be going through some issues and what not, no self respecting dealer/service manager would talk like that about their vendor - especially with the customer

Saleen100, most if not all of us are on your side, when CS works well it works well for all.  The goal is to work within the system and get results, if not, there are other legal remedies.  Where are you located and what dealer are you using.

As for the punctuation, I am not the most eloquent person ever to post in a forum, so I type my posts in Word first then post them and I still wind up having to edit them.  Good luck in your saga and talk to us like we are friends because most of us are the rest would like to be.
