The funny thing is you were bragging about your 13.5 with just bolt ons. I've seen Neons do that with just bolt ons as well.

after watching that vid though, I can say that Hondas sound better than that crap... it sounded like he had a straight through exhaust.

I can almost guarantee you that he has P&P'd EVERY possible thing there is to P&P in that engine and probably did some valve work along with a lot of tranny upgrading to run that. No stock neon is going to hold up to slicks.

It's a stock bottom end..
You can read what's been done here.
http://www.bored383.com/pages/neon.htm

I would still never drive one, but just so you know, there are 11&12sec all motor Neons out there.

SRT Neons will wake up and supprise you with very little work.

Acceleration figures (bone stock): 2003 models

Car and Driver: 0-60 in 5.6 seconds, top speed 153 mph

Sport Compact Car: 0-60 in 5.8 seconds, quarter mile 14.2 seconds.

Brooke McClelland wrote: According to their chassis dyno, this Neon puts out 223 HP and 250 lb-ft of torque at the wheels! ... In comparison, their test of a 2002 Nissan Sentra SE-R, which is rated at 175 HP, put out just 141 HP at the wheels.

Apex Technology has dynoed the SRT-4 and found 248 hp - at the wheels!

Not bad for a 4 banger

What are you talking about? neither of them have any PnP as they stated, besides pistons everything else is a bolt on.

This all started over you saying...

quote:

The funny thing is you were bragging about your 13.5 with just bolt ons. I've seen Neons do that with just bolt ons as well.

So I said...

quote:

I can almost guarantee you that he has P&P'd EVERY possible thing there is to P&P in that engine and probably did some valve work along with a lot of tranny upgrading to run that. No stock neon is going to hold up to slicks.

Then you said...

quote:

eh... care to back that up with any factual information?

And then I said...

quote:

Read this... http://www.bored383.com/pages/neon.htm

And then you TOTALLY changed the subject to something about two other guys you know or that posted here or something. Usually I would never go to this kind of extent to prove im right but you are the type of person that never admits when he is wrong. So there it is.
