ok so i just sold my subs and amp for 600 and bought a custom one off ebay with a new amp

when i pluged everything in...the amp powered on fine

a day has past and the amp doesnt power on anymore

the only way to power it on is if u run a wire from the remote to the battery wire...

so my question is what is the problem?? can i just have a wire from the battery terminal to the remote terminal...please let me know asap..thanks

I'd put my money on a short in your remote line that connects from your Dash player to your Amp.
You can replace it, or by pass it. To bypass it, simply have it share a connection with a in-dash fuse, but after awhile I'd suspect whatever fuse your sharing it with to blow, so make sure it's nothing important.
No, it's not a great idea to run a direct line from the battery, your amp will be on 24/7 until your battery dies.

Basically when a wire recieves more power than it can handle, it shorts. Very common with smaller gauges of wiring(just like your remote line).
Yeah, and usually replacing it is very simple. Look at the back of your CD Player (most these days have keys that you use to get the CD player out), and the color that your Remote line is(usually BLUE), just get a new wire length(speaker wire will work just fine) and connect it to where the old remote line is, and run it to your Amp. Most people hide these wires under the carpet in your car so theres no jumble of wires, and no chance of tripping over it.
Make sure your engines off when your doing this...And if your not comfortable with messing with this stuff your self, just head down to a local Sound System shop and have them do it, they should'nt change you any more than $5 or $10 for this.

ok so today i drove the car to school and occaisonaly the amp would turn on..and off

Hmm, yeah in that case chances are one of your connections are loose, make sure all your amp connections are secure.
Another thing to check is if your POWER and GROUND connections are next to eachother(in many amps they retardedly are), they may be touching and causing your Amp to initiate it's Protective Mode. Just wrap the POWER terminal in some electrical tape.

i fixed it...the wire behing the headunit was loose

make sure your ground wire is in a good location and solidly ground. Sounds like a connection problem for sure
