Personally I wouldn't go with either. They're both fugly. And I'm not a Chevy hater. I'm a GM mechanic, actually. I'd look for a first gen Camaro. Everything after those look like poo. Or if you can find a Chevelle or something. Even if it's a POS they're not hard to work on.

I don't like either one, but if I had to choose it would defintely be the Camaro, IMO. The Malibu may be powerful, but it looks like a P.O.S.

First of all.. Cominus... think about what you just said... who doesnt want more power here? lol. The car would be a cruiser and a ricer bruiser... Im not much of a street racer and i dont go to the track.. yet... but the ability to run and run fast is a must. I just want to eat ricers in my area and look badass doing it.

the maro will probably make a better DD, but fast and 70s/80s camaros dont go together

car is basically a stock 350, those years put out no more power then my LO3 car, and are a little bit heavier, basically, you have a low 16 second "monster"

That maro had the 305 which sux.  The 350 should be better, but not to much.

Does it have to be an old car?  Honestly if you want a V8 and power for not that much go for an LT1 camaro 93-97 Z28.  You can probably pick a nice one up for maybe $5,000 and you'll be beating new edge GTs.

Well, heres my report on the all to pos Camaro... The guy lied me into coming out.... It had a nice engine, nice glasspack exhaust.. loud as a muther... BUT the body wasnt fit for me to **** on.... It had a hole taken out of the body and i could see into the panel... the tail light was almost gone... stratched up.. dented.. rims were rusted cragars... and the interior.. oooooh boy... it had not head liner... the RED interior was gone to ****.. it was baaaaaad.... worst of all tho it didnt have power brakes.... wtf is up with that? and ive driven in cars w/o power brakes ONCE and they stopped with a little more effort than one with power brakes... but this.. this was like trying to stop the car like fred flintstone.. i had to pump pump and pump some more... The guy didnt tell me this until after i had started driving it... and i found the hard way it didnt have pwr brakes.... lol now dont flame me, technically its not my fault since he didnt tell me.. but i backed into a toyota lol.  I was turning around to head it back to his house and i pressed the brakes and he goes oh yah no power brakes, pump. So i start pumping but nothing was happening so i turn sharp and avoid the lexus... (thank god)  but it was too late... WHAM... right into a early 90s camry... now it was kind of funny in a way.. and i was upset when it happened.. but now i reflect and laugh.. The guy was selling it for 3500... it was a low 2000 mid 1000 dollar car... so what if it was a "classic" with a V8.. So, i had to pay 200 for the "damage" or lack there of.. to his metal block of ****.. (which had a minor scratch.. nothing new to this car... but the camry was FUUUUUUUUUCKED lol... but i felt bad so i left a card... theres a nother 1000 or so for a new bumper and quarter panel for a camry.. aaahhh what a beautiful day .... But i come to find... most camaros of the 70s had PBs... this guys car was just a **** wagon...

Id kill for a new Camaro and especially for a edge gt... I saw one on the road today... HOOOOOT as ****, almost came in my pants.. not gonna lie. BUT.. my buying budget doesnt allow it, especially after tonight lol. Im gonna save up till august (my birthday) when i should get a hefty sum of money from family (parents are divorced=tons of grandparents) and paychecks from work. Ill look for a car thats... in better condition.

why not get an SN95 5.0?  those can be had for quite a reasonable price.  wouldn't even be that much to insure.  an older 70s camaro is going to get burned by some NA 4cyl cars on the road now a days

If I get another EFI stang it would be a Notchback fox GT, or an edge GT. I found a nice 67 GT that needs a shot of paint and some new tires, and its got power brakes.
