On the way home from a local cruise I see a blue GTO with nice aftermarket wheels and exhaust pull out of a parking lot.

I followed him through a light and went along side, and as I drove by gave him a wave.We caught a red light and I complimented him on his GTO, and told him I owned an 05 GTO beforebuying the GT. He said it had a cat back exhaust and CAI. Nice looking '04GTO if I do say so.

We go through another intersection and we both got open lanes at the red light. He asked if I wanted togo, and I said sure. We both spun out of the hole, and he put a bumper or two on me while I fought for traction. By the top of first I was pulling past him, and when I hit second I pulledhim badly. When I hit 3rd gear I had about 6 car lengths on him, andwe both shut it down.

I know he was probably pretty confident of a victory or a close race,but it was a very decisive masacre. He pulled alond side me, and said "that is one quick Mustang". Very nice guy, we both waved and gave a thumbs up.

I really enjoy beating up on GTO's.

I'm sure that's a bit of an exaggeration to an extent.. lol

6 lenthgs at the end of 3rd is like a second in the quater mile....

so unless you're in a Terminator with mods, or this guy just sucked,, you accident did the fish tale story..

It sounds to me like there is a chance the OP has a 05+ GT and just reeled the guy in after he caught traction.

Good story though.

Either your pushing way beyond 10psi of boost and your just waiting for you block to crack, or you have forged internals,or you have alot more bolt ons that your not posting. Either way, good kill.

I think everyone on this thread should fight. That's a good race though nice kill lieu! I ran what sounded like a lightly modded new GTO and he got me by like 2 car lengths from 0-80 haha GODDAMN AUTO TRANNY
