New stang

Hey everyone, on monday i just got myself an 05 gt with 8700 miles (im stepping up from a 2000 v6 ) absolutely love the car, but today i just noticed something, my fuel gauge reads 3/4 of a tank although it does not allow me to put any more fuel in it. When the dealership gassed it up for me i wondered why it only read 3/4 i know the tank is full but the gauge is just not showing it? im gonna take it to ford tommorow, its still under warranty. Anybody have any ideas though?

It sucks to have issues early, but atleast its under warranty. And I'm glad my Wife convinced my friend to buy the extra warranty on his 02 Kia Spectra he bought a few months back. He bought the car, and within 2 weeks the transmission was gone. So he got a new transmission for free under warranty. Hopefully you get everything fixed as soon as possible and start the modding.

Hmm, well car has been at ford all day, they say all the gauges and everything check out ok, and that my build date is passed the build date for the cars with defective gas takes. Im perplexed, and ford seems to be too, once again , any ideas from anybody?[:'(]

Here are my thoughts:

1. Dealer possibly FOS. Fixing warranty problems not lucrative enough to be worth their time.
2. If it all really checks out have them demostrate that fact to you. Ask them what the next steps are if the symptom returns.
3. Document everything.

Sure. Fueling can be a pain some times. I have an early model 05, and I bought it used as well with 8,000 miles.

Sometimes the gas station pumps out gas too quickly for the tank to fill.

In this case, simply turn the gas hose upside-down and fuel, or use a different station.

I only had a problem once....
