Default my mustang wont go!

hey guys i got a question...

I have a 66 mustang with a 68 302 AT engine. for some reason when i jus start it, and put it into gear, it won't go. or, if it does, it will go till i stop and then just sit there like its in neutral or something. i thought maybe it was the AT fluid level, but everytime i check it, its fine. ive been told that i need a new ram cylinder and ps control valve, but if its not low on fluid, why would it do this? if anybody can help, i would appreciate it. i read that on fuel injected mustangs there is an Idle Air Control that may need cleaned, but since i have a carb, doesthis also pertain tomy mustang? thanks

First - you need to take the car to a transmission shop.
Second - there are seals on the power steering thatwear out. If you have some mechanical ability, rebuild the control valve and the ram, otherwise, find a local Mustang shop and have them do it.
Third - don't read anything on fuel injected Mustangs - at least until you've rebuilt the power steering stuff. About the only thing you can do to your carb, short of a complete rebuild, is change the gas filter.

I am not an automatic transmission wizzard, but if everything else seems to work correctly, it seems as if the trany may be leaking internally, and bleeding air into the system when the vehicle is parked for a while.

What transmission do you have? someone will answer who knows what they are talking about and they will probably want this info!!!

Take the car to a transmission shop. If it won't move while it's in drive obviously something has worn out.
