Default '66 ignition switch wiring help, please.

Hi,

First post. Great site. It is huge. Am looking for help wiring a stock ignition switch. Am using Ron Francis wiring, but directions are not specific for a stock ignition switch. Need to know what each spade is wired to on back of switch.

Thank you!

I reviewed all the "ignition switch" posts I could find. Found some great ones on "how to replace" or "how to install", but nothing on identity of each of the posts - except the center post for ACCESSORIES. One post down and 4 to go!

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks Gary. Big help.

What is the post at the 4 o'clock position which is shown in my photo (above) but not in the Painless diagram (figure 7.6)?

No clue off hand, have you gone down to a parts store to see if they have one in stock? They might let you look at the instructions. It may be that the switch fits more than one car and isnt used in your app.

Dont know if Fig 6 here will help...

My ignition switch did not come with instructions, but maybe will check with vendor to see if you knows his product line. Thanks again Gary for your help.

Just call ron francis up or e-mail them and see what they say.
