After curb-checking one of my wheels today, I realized that because my car is blacked out (black paint, tinted windows, black tailights), it will look killer will some 20's that are black with a chrome lip. If you do not know what that means, here is a preview of one: http://www.americanmuscle.com/20x85-verde-2005-kaos-wheel.html . If this seems like a good idea, let me know and please vote on the poll. This is a side view of my car (bear in mind my taillights are blacked out) so you can get a better idea of what it could look like with new rims. http://tinypic.com/view.php?pic=5xemu0g

Keep in mind the link to those rims are merely to show the black with chrome lip style. I'm not considering getting those specific ones. Im going to get 20x10's most likely

Maybe not the best photoshopping in the world, but this is what it would look like. I kind of like it, but would have to stay Saleen on principle.

That is pretty good, nc, but when you have MAD skilz like The Jazzer, this is what you can do...

EDIT: The Jazzer clearly has no skilz at all in this reguard and appears to be jealous of the Pony Gurls superior Photoshop skilz, and feels that he must own up to the clear and present facts dispayed herin, and accept defeat
I'm not big on black wheels on black cars. Just my opinion....throw black wheels on a black car, and you lose the wow factor....you're left with nothing that draws the viewers eye to the car for closer inspection. .

jaz that made me laugh pretty damn hard...funny skillz
This is just an idea, but how about a chrome face rim with a black lip? The only reason I suggest this is because more people are starting to put their body color on the lip of rims and then have either a chrome or black face on the car. I'll see if I can find the pic again, but there was a blue Murcielago with black rims (the face) and had a color matched blue lip which looked really good IMO, something different none the less.
That would only work for cars that arent black and white. But I agree that looks awesome bearing in mind it is a $300,000.00 exotic car that can pull that stuff off. Thanks for the picture though!
I dunno man, I think someone needs to try it out first... A nice white benz with white rims and some chrome accents on them sounds real nice.
But I think you should switch wheels anyway, black or chrome. I like the Saleen wheels but; most everyone has them, they don't have a lip, and if you have nice brakes they kinda block them. Almost any 5 spoke design would look sick imo.
Plus arent the Saleen rims like really damn heavy??!! I want to keep the rims at 20" but I want some deep dish rims at least for the rear. I also want me rear wheels to be at least 10" wide in the back for more traction and looks. Any ideas? If you find a nice set, let me know please!!
I'll look around and see what I can find. Check out the brand Axis, they make some cool 5 spoke design wheels that I was looking at getting.
The Saleen rims are heavy compared to smaller rims, but compared to other 20" chrome or whatever wheels I'm not sure how much heavier (possibly lighter) they are.

The Saleen rims (20x9) weigh 37.5 lbs each...so ill look around to compare weights as well but regardless if they are wider in the rear I will more than likely get more traction

If you haven't checked it out already, at www.tirerack.com you can view a variety of black rims on your car, even Saleens S281's are in their image database (and you can select color on the car as well).
