Ran a 12.325 (matches my best) a 12.4 and a 12.300, GLD was having problems with their printer so I can barely read the fugging thing. Track conditions sucked, I had horrible wheel hop and my 60ft's were a crappy 1.86 so I was able to beat my 12.325 by running over a tenth slower in the short time so had I run a 1.7 short time it should have gone 12.1.
A guy in a TA LS1 who ran a best of 13.5@106 challenged me to a run if I would put street tires on my car, I explained I have gone 12.56 on stock rubber so why would I waste my time unless money was involved. He backed off after that, his last two runs were high 13's, there was another S197 there that would have been a better run for him, not sure why he came after me.
Edit, oh yeah, there was a Terminator there running 14.4@108, not sure what his major malfunction was but damn.

Yeah, we had the "This isn't Pink's, run what ya brung" chat, I also told him that if he really wanted to go that route it would take a good chunk of change for me to do it, heck I'm there to have fun and relax, not friggin work. He was hitting everybody up for racing Pink's style, heck he asked a guy in a 1988 bone stock automatic Mustang GT (running mid 15's)if he would race "for pinks", the guy looked at him like he was ignorant and said have you seen how slow my car is, why would I do that? Mighty big mouth for a guy in a mid 13 second ride.Maybe he had a hidden fogger on it just in case who knows but I sure wasn't impressed, of yeah, one more thing, he rode through the water box with street radials, his short time was an awesome 2.6!!!
He got his rear handed to him by a 16 year old driving a Fox hatch back withbolt ons and slicks running 13.2. I bet he didn't try to race him for pink slips.

I have seen quite a few stock LS1 cars at the track and nobody has impressed me yet. Best run I've seen is 8.8(1/8th mile track). I would say that at least 80% of the owners never drive it anywhere near their capabilities. Well that can be said for every car. Hell I was told last weekend there was a C5 running 9.1s. I wish I went since I would've "beat a C5"
