I think its just the acceleration that makes it feel so slow, plus that and they are pretty stable at higher speeds. I know that when I'm doing 70 it doesn't even feel like I'm going that fast. But in a p.o.s car you feel like you're going 100.

Gears and a new differential will help you accelerate faster (no hp gain though).

I'll give it stable at high speeds.  I've hit 106 before, and I felt like I was going about 80 or 90.  takes a while to get up there, but not excruciatingly long like some cars.

I know gear wont give me more power, but about how much faster acceleration will I get?

V6's suck @@@SSSSS   Theyre SOOOO SLOW!! Why dont you guys grow a pair and get a V-8
That was a funny read. You guys are really sensitive about your V-6...........

And eagle cather, you shouldve just got a Probe GT . 2.5 v6 that puts out over 30hp more than the 3.8, runs 15's stock, handle really well, get 28+mpg, and look pretty nice. And best of all theyre SUPER cheap. You couldve gotten a nice clean '97 GT or GTS for $2500. Looks like you didnt do your research all that well.
As for the mustang not being able to handle, Ive got an 85 GT and Ive raced 300zxTT's in the twisties, they dont even come close to hangin w/ me. Now a 911 on the other hand thats a good run for my money.

Negative bone-rider. I dont post pix of the stang. Mainly cuz I dont want the po-po messin w/ me when I drive it. Its bad enough as it is. I got pulled over more than 50 times in 1 year in it.

No, I dont post pics of any of my cars. Believe it or not I am a member of several different automotive forums and havent posted a 1. Aside from that I dont wanna get flamed that it looks too pimped out. Its black w/ blue tinted clear coat, dark tinted windows, lowered, deepdish reverse offset chrome rims, polished stainless tailpipes, smoked headlight covers and a 2000watt system. It looks like a dope dealers car. While your car looks like most other mustangs on the road and wouldnt be very distinguishable, mine is very unique looking and would be VERY easy to spot. And seeing as this is the BIGGEST AUTOMOTIVE FORUM, I'd hate to make myself a target. You know theres plenty of cops on this forum right?

yea, seen one or two cops on the forum. They live on the opposite ends of the country tho, no bother to me. Besides if id get pulled over by a fellow mfer cop, chances are they will let me slide.

(On a side note to the rest of the v6 mustang crowd, could this be another Matt Hockey?)
