I recently bought an 02 S281E and really like it. In Oct of 01, i bought a new S281 and added a supercharger (procharger) and was thoroughly impressed. The E is way more car. I am very impressed with the saleen series v screw blower. My car makes 11-12 lbs of boost stock, as 10 was advertised. Talk about fat powerband! Once it gets a few more miles i think i might boost it slightly. I am curious to see that blower in more full effect. I feel like this car gets too much attention, especially by the cops. I was recently pulled over for going 58 in a 55, and all the cop wanted to do was talk about the car. I considered doing a saleen cobra, but i would have to buy it new-too hard to get a sweet deal on a new one, and used saleen cobras are hard to come by. I will say this; I don't believe the E is worth even near sticker. The key is buying one right ($ wise). I paid 22k below sticker on this coupe. It had 550 miles on it. It still has 7 months of bumper-to-bumper left on it. Good deals are out there to be had!!! Saleens hold their value much better than cobras! I feel sorry for the poor chaps that paid well above sticker for their 03 cobras. See what those go for in 2-3 years on e-bay. If anyone has any questions or comments about the E car i purchased, feel free to post!Birdieman437908.036087963

congrats on your new ride Saleens are definitely attention getters and the E even more so.Did you buy the E off someone or through a dealership, what color, vert or hardtop,etc.etc.I agree with you that its a good time to buy cars especially the way the economy is and most of the american so called muscle cars changing body styles.Deals to be had.If i were you id definitely start swapping pulleys to see what kinda #s she can make. With that size blower 140cubes and the built up moter theres alot of power left to be had.The screw type blower is way more efficient than the eaton on my car and i was running 10 psi on my m90.I really like the Saleens in general but im probably gonna jump ship and God willing go the Viper route.Cant have both and am ready for a change.Get used to gettin pulled over because the car is like i said an attention getter.Your saleen will hold value above a cobra because there are so many cobras  made and the starting price naturally.I for one think the cobras have a fun engine but  really lag badly in the looks dept......to common .....to plain......but everyones entitled to there own opinion....take care.

Schoolohardnoks...I bought it from a delership. It was traded in and had been there 2 weeks. That was the same dealership who sold it new in May 03. It is a coupe, and it is beryllium in color. (Saleen color option)

congrads on your new ride. Never been in the Extreme cars, but have read many nice things about them in mags....That color is just awesome! I tend to agree with you about the price  not  just from the E cars, but all saleens right now. I got some low down on the late '04 early '05 Saleens which appears to be bringing in the S331 (5.4 liter) tks to Phil Frank who was the one that started the S351 cars. They are hoping for 500 "plus" hp and over 500 ft lbs of torque from these cars...Anyways, enjoy the Extreme, that puppy will surely attrack attention most have never experienced before!
