I've tried a combination of wax products and techniques. I never get the results I want from multiple coats. I remove the wax with clean microfiber towels by hand and also try with my random orbit polisher. The wax comes off, but I am left with smudges that look like finger prints. For instance, I put down a coat of Meguiars cleaner wax on Friday and Gold Class on Saturday and the Gold Class did not leave a deep shine that I wanted. I ended up going over entire car with detail spray. The instructitons for the Gold Class say wax whole car, then wipe whole car. It was a humid day. Does it take lots more time for wax to dry when more layers are applied?
Did you take the Meguiars cleaner wax off before applying the Gold Class paste wax. Get some of Justin's Wet Glaze and Wet Wax - obsessivedetail.com. Try that and you'll get a beautiful deep red Mustang

You mean am I blond?
Thank you for suggesting Obsessive. Have heard lots of good comments about Poorboys too. I have a garage full of products, but I wouldn't mind spending the money if my search for perfection is over.
My perfect world: cleaner/polish/glaze twice a year and carnauba whenever feel like it, every weekend if I'm in the mood.
Im not calling you blonde but you stated that you applied wax to the whole entire car before buffing off. So I only suggested that you work a panel at a time is all.
YES! I have also seen this happen when I begin with Klasse All in One then apply 2 coats of carnauba. First coat is fine, second gives me the streaks.
Do I have wax buildup? I notice it more on my hood than anywhere else of course because of the black.
i've noticed that only some kinds of waxs bond with only other cerntant kinds (thats hard to word) example: i can use meguiar's nxt paste wax and top it with a liquid carnuba wax and be okay, but i cant use a liquid carnuba wax and top with a paste wax, or i get streaks etc.
if it was me, i'd clay all your wax off and rewax with your favorite wax.

Margarita Girl-You should give my new line a try. I would go with the Light Polish followed by the Wet Glaze, then top with the Wet Wax. This will make your paint really deep and wet looking. I guarantee you will be happy!

Yes the polish will give you a fresh start. It will also correct some light swirls and bring out more shine and reflection, it is a great finishing polish. The glaze is acrylic and it will make your paint feel super slick plus make the paint look deep and wet. The wax is made with Brazilian carnauba which is the best grade of carnauba, it goes on real easy and comes off easy. You can also use it in the sun. It won't streak either.
With all that said, I'm not a believer in layering waxes. Every layer of wax after the first just takes away clarity - nothing becomes "clearer" as it becomes "thicker". Wax is only a protectant, shine comes from the paint surface.

+1 I have always loved using just one coat of Meguiars gold class, one body panel at a time.
Juztang, You mention the cleaner / polish, Glaze and wax. What brand combination do you sell? Is there a package for just the three? What a about a quick detailer for thein betweens wax jobs? I would like to get the three but not sure which? How often do you need to apply each or should you apply all at same time. Once a year, twice a year etc?
How does your stuff compare to Mequiare?

Rob
My new line of products have already had excellent reviews. For a good 3 step I would go with my Light Polish,Wet Glaze, and Wet Wax. This will give a really deep and wet look plus good protection. I also have a couple of excellent quick detailers. My Fast Shine and Waterless Wash Plus Carnauba also work very well, they don't streak and add at on of gloss between waxes.
I would only do the 3 step every 6 months or so. You can put the wax on whenever you like.
I used Megiuars for several years. I started using Poorboy's,ClearKote,Optimum, etc. a few years ago and was really blown away by the quality and ease of use. My brand plus the brands I mentioned can also be applied in the direct sunlight and don't have any residue like many other brands have. I actually used most of these brands before I started becoming a distributor, I kinda just fell into the distributor thing one day. I use all of these products in my detail business and couldn't be happier.
Let me know if you have anymore product questions. You can pm, e-mail me or just respond to this post...whatever works best for you!
Thanks Juzstang, So im going to order the 3 products and the quick detailer... Is there a part number or brand name description I need on your web site? I have some Turtle wax qucik detailer and maguires quick detailer is it ok to use them over your products? I hate to throw away money.
Sorry for all the questions I just want to be sure Im not going to screw things up.
Rob
