Yesterday, just cruising home from a 30 mile trip from work. I see a couple of cars approaching from behind at a high rate of speed. They exit the same ramp as I. At the light, it is two lanes and one turn lane. SRT Neon on the far left, Evo MR on the right and I pull into the turn lane. They rev with their huge exhausts and the fart cans begin to compete for farting supremacy. We all floor it.I put thepedal half waydown andI pull in front of the Evo and the the Evo shoots in front of the slow SRT. We are going head to head right now, while the SRT eats our dust. At about 115 down a two lane street, weaving in and out, we both stop at a light. Wenod ateach other . Finally, the SRT comes along, (seems like his lil turbo is gasping for air). This time. I floor it, leaving burn marks everywhere, and leave both the Evo and the SRT more then 2 car lengths behind. The Evo's turbo kicked in what looks like around 4K RPM and started catching up, but once a V8 gets into higher gear, it moves quicker and quicker. We almost came to an equal match, but in the end I was ahead of both cars. It was a close race, Evo's are one of the fastest cars you can get that is not an exotic. Had we raced on the highway and engaged in more dangerous maneuvering, the Evo would have out ran mewith little effort. It was fun though.I do not give credit to the guy driving the SRT. It is a poor excuse for a car and makes Turbos look bad. Same with a Cobalt SS. Creds to the Evo.

I am very grown up. Thanks for the tip buddy. Apparently you do not know Chicago at 10 PM. Very few cars. I would not weave in traffic. I'm not insane. I have a Roush off road exhaust. That is it. I am going to be buying a Roushcharger, pulleys, chip, intake, pistons, valve head, better fuel injectors, new cats. I am also going to be picking up a set or two of mickey thompson slicks.

This is either BS or the driver of the SRT was 10 years old with no mods.. I would love to trade spots with him in my car, I believeyour post would change all the way around,... I've ran lots of both cars,... seems odd!

yeah, that all sound VERY safe...like I said...grow up
If everyone can list (if even tested) their 1/4 mile times. I will tell you right now. I ran a 1/4 mile in 12.8 at 110. Dyno 328RWHP and 331RWTQ . Ran a dyno 3 times and hit that 1/4 time 2 times in a row. Plus, I removed the back seats, that is about 60 lbs. less.I have another set of 07 mustang stock wheels. On my normal days, I have my 18X8.5 on, on others, I have 17X8 on. See the weight difference? I would list any defeat. Here is one right now. This morning, I got my a*s handed to my by a 96' 300zx TT. I stood no chance. On a different road, got my a** walked by an older model Jetta GTI. Killed my Stang. Point taken?

12.8@110 seems alittle fast for a 07 stang with just a exhaust.... Most of them around here barely run mid 13's with exhaust.
Stock 07 gt has 300 at the crank right?
