Default Transmission issue

Earlier today my shifter started feeling usual. There is a lot of front to back motion while in gear, which is not normal for my car. And it is having a bit of trouble getting into gear. They arnt grinding, it just feels incredibly sloppy. If anyone knows what might be going on, or something to check, that would be great.
