Dude the 19 s  will look nice, especially when you are gonna lower it. I would definetly go with the 19s. good luck

yeah, i was thinking the same question ... I just lowered my 01 cobra, but i'm not too satisfied with the drop -- i want more -- i was thinking the 19's might make it look a bit lower. But will they rub, with a H&R Sports on IRS?

A 19 x 8.5 and 9.5 will fit fine

Given the same overall diameter of tire and vehicle ride height, the 19" wheel will make the wheel well gap look larger than a 18".

There is a lot of wheel well gap on these cars so I don't think a 19" will rub.

Colin, I just orderd my 19x8.5 and 19x9.5....without the tires, and I have an 07 GT. Im ghonna soon be ordering my tires,so what sizes would you recommend? I would preffer the maximum sidewall and a tire that would help in protecting my rim lip, becuase I've notice on some wheels you can see the rim sticking out pass the tires. Which makes it dangerous parking along a curb. Help me please......

They will look good but these wont be good at all for the drag strip. I have 18's and they are quite heavy compared to the stock 17s. Tires arent cheap either for a bigger rim.
It all depends on if looks are more important then performance.
