We won't "flog" you, but yeah...... I think you are! I think I am middle of the road at 30. I really appreciate the insight from those that have "been around the track" a few times more than myself. I have decided not only am I going to continue to drive and dress-up my Mustang......but I am going to get a supercharger for it too. A little Whipple action for their thoughts on my immaturity........ :) Vroom, vroom, Shella ~

only thing stopping me from the sc is funds, my better half thinks her kitchen is a bigger need, I tried to convince her otherwise but she just isnt having it Unfortunately for her I'll end up spending that much modding other things(over time) instead lol.

popular hit song about "the little old lady from Pasadena"
I love songs that mention cars! We need a new thread:
"I got a Sixty-Nine Chevy with a three-ninety-six Fuelie heads and a Hurst on the floor She's waiting tonight down in the parking lot Outside the Seven Eleven store"

and in case you don't know Fergie's GLAMOROUS:
"I still go to Taco Bell Drivethrough, raw as Hell I dont care, Im still real No matter how many records I seal After the show or after the grammys I like to go cool out with the family Sippin', reminscing on days when I had a Mustang"

I'll be 45 later this month and never act my age. The only problem is the old body won't let me spend as much time lying on the concrete to work on the car as it used to. It doesn’t stop me however . This is my third Mustang BTW ('66 - High School car that I still have, '85 GT, '06 GT).
I never let the folks at work determine what I do outside of work. They think I'm nuts to modify a brand new (nearly brand new) car and take it to open track days whenever possible. I just smile back and say "maybe I am".

Yeah, I had one of my so called "friends" at work ask me when I was going to grow out of driving Mustangs. Yet, he drives a 4wd SUV that will never be off road, that's really mature, huh?

Just wanted to chime in, I was 29 going on 50. Had the instant family and a alcoholic wife, traded her in for a divorce but was left with a Stratus in the aftermath. Just wasn't getting the excitement Dodge promissed me. So I started a new job at Ford and logic says "work for Ford, drive a Ford" so I bought a 06 GT. Now I'm back to 29 going on my early 20's. But recently due to my age, wisdom caught up, and I had buy a economical car for work, a fargin Kia Rio. But at 43mpg I can't argue, and I can garrage my Stang now for weekend driving. I've only put on 23k miles in 9mo going to work. That car would've been ruined by 08.

Hey, 53 here, and my 2007 GT is my 14th Mustang, I can't give them up! It's alot easieir doing the mods now, since I can afford to have someone else do them. I Just wish I didn't have to jack up the car to put in the Mobile 1. I can't figure out why my belly won't fit under these cars anymore....

38 and most don't know this but my nickname 'ChevyKiller' has nothing to do with my fast stang. It is the first Ford I have ever owned. My entire family is heavy into racing and bleed Chevy through and through.
My family builds NHRA funny cars and dragsters but won't even let my car into the shop - let alone turn a wrench on it...lol
I have been blackballed for this car and don't give a crap cause I honestly love the car. I have a 64' street legal Nova that pushes 1200 hp and is pretty quick and I have driven that car twice since 05 - that's how much I love this little Ford of mine.
I was told I should be driving something more age appropriate at 44. I traded my 2004 Volvo S60R for a GT 5pd manual '07 Mustang. 'Why didn't you get a BMW 335 or a Lexus IS350?' a few have asked. I tell them 'Sssshhhhh, don't tell too many people, but this Mustang kicks a**!' 'I also get to save 14 to 20k!' The Mustang is a car for all ages. Cars reflect personality not age.
Test drove the BMW, Lexus, and Ford all on the same day. The BMW was the best riding, handling, the engine and gimiky paddle shifters were 2nd to Mustang V8 and 5spd manual. The Lexus was nice, a bit too cushy and isolated, it handles and rides better than the Mustang but again the manual V8 beats both in sound and responsivness. Oh yeah, the BMW was stickering for $47 and the Lexus was $42.
