Default Shifter Noise?

Alright, so it's been a while since I've installed my tri-ax and it's been great! The other day though, I was driving down the freeway when all of a sudden my shifter started making a weird noise like a really fast rattling. The guy in the passenger seat said it sounded like something was cooking and sizzling under my shift boot, could one of my bolts be coming loose or is something else going on? The noise changes if I wiggle around the shifter a little bit. It only makes noise when I'm giving it gas too, like, if I'm in first and going it will make noise, then I can put in the clutch and shift to second and it won't make noise again until I start accelerating again. And it doesn't always do it either... So I dunno! I'll probably be checking for loose parts right now and give an update, but just seeing if this was somehow normal (I sure hope not) or if it's a simple fix someone has experienced before. Thanks

Default RE: Shifter Noise?

Either something is loose or just needs to be lubricated, or your synchros might be damaged. You might even have worn bearings.
