Every Mustang I see, 99-04, that all the hood scoops are near the top of the hood... but mine is near the bottom... closer to the pony emblem.. is this common or am i just crazy?

03 & 04's. They're designed to be a mimik of a heat extractor.

The 03-04 V6 hoods are the same as the 99-01 Cobra hoods.

Are you sure it's not just the 04's b/c all the 03's I've ever seen have the same hood as my '01.

Its probably just MOST of the 03's and all of the 04's. Im sure there are some 03s without it.

mines an 03 and its got the 04 hood i guess.. it'll look nicer with a scoop soon

Late 03 the V6 started getting the 99/01 SVT reverse scoop hood. Most of 04 got them as well.

The pony package got the GT hood scoop in 03/04 instead of the reverse scoop.
