With my old wheels and tires (stock 17 inch and BFG dr;s) I ran an 11.8. I have not been to the track yet with the skinnies and M/T's. I think I would get on the 60 foot but you might run me down...damn turbos and thier top end.

LOL.

I was suprised with the 60ft time I got with Street tires (I think it was like 1.89, I need to check) I need to get smaller rims and slicks/DR's
Should be a close race, but your right more than likely I would have to run you down to beat you!

2003/2004 Cobras are called Terminators because the creator John Coletti (sp?) used that as the codename for the project.  As it was to "Terminate" all competition and the LS1 stranglehold on the market.

Also, there are certain parts of the Terminator that has "TERMINATOR" on it.... from Ford, likes tags and what not from bumpers.... My heat exchanger on the front says "TERMINATOR".

EDIT: Also add Bickety to my list, as I forgot he had a new z06... Everytime I see one out here with time for me to play... he's going the other way or we're in traffic! lol grrrr

Actually, there is only 1 part that actually said Terminator on it when it was done with production and marketed for sale.

I can't recall what it was, but this book I read said whatever part it was, was the only part that retained "Terminator".

It has something to do with being afraid of copywright infringement and stuff like that.

I cut 1.89 60' on my 06 GT with 18" stock tires but smissing gear caused a crappy 13.9 run. and i cut like 4-5 times 1.9x 60' as well.

actually i have a video of me cutting 1.93 60' on stock tires (all on stock power)

http://videos.streetfire.net/video/5138752f-ef77-4178-9570-98450042d3ff.htm

I have been saying that S197s launches like a MOFO but nobody listens to me

LUCK........ The other times were high 1.9's and 2.0 something. Thats why my 11.9 was a little of a fluke with street tires. Just got the perfect launch and was right in the grove the whole way.

They do launch really well, even with 20"s. Have always launch well (at a street light). But I am a little suprised that it was on the track, everything was perfect for that launch, I was one of the first to go and the track was well prepaired

I'm hoping for 1.5's or so once we put some slicks on there

Two (2) people: REDASS and QuickShotxMLx. For a solid grand.  Best of 3 runs on track -- to make sure the better car wins -- and I've never ran on a track. I'd feel that confident.

Damn I feel so special.  A solid grand?  Are we talking about pesos here(still too much lol).  I would gladly run it for fun(if fun is getting myself destroyed lol).

72MachOne...just too see who is THE worst driver on here

For fun? Then I'd make it fun -- I'd give you an 18 car spot.   I will learn to powershift very quickly....

V-6 is for real drivers. Go buy a Jetta if you want gas mileage and a chicks car. Buy a V-8 Mustang if you have no driving ability and need the extra horsepower to compensate and feel like you''''re fast.

This thread seams to be playing out the way I hoped it would. And for you pore suckers that have me on your list, I ran that 11.9 without powershifting. I'm going to powershift right into the mid 11's on your azz'sjk

HA HA - you don't powershift because you know you'll fry another clutch if you do - you guys change clutches like we change oil...lol

For me, I'd race anyone win or lose cause it's fun either way.

If I had to pick one person, it would have to be 98LS1 simply for the fun it would bring to the forum and the crap he'd get when I spanked him.

I wouldn't mind lining up with JD sometime either. Mad respect for him too and he's the type you could learn something from win or lose.

I have a pretty stout clutch now, which probably explains the transmission issues I've been having.

No doubt. It's 6 of one or half a dozen of the other, isn't it?

That seems to be the same scenario with all my SRT friends... finally get the clutch stout and then tranny issues.

What clutch are you using? Most of the guys I know with fast SRT's are frying clutches every 50 passes or so.

I'm using a clutchmaster stage 4. four disc clutch. It should handle all I can throw at it. But please don't get me started on the slush box tranny.

Yep - you've got the best clutch for your car IMO.

Good luck on the tranny.

Well had to ad Drhoward to my list now. Always as good as my word. Guess I better race you now before the head swap and the bottle goes on.
