coil overs?
Does anyone have these?
Are they easy to change the height? What do I need to buy for them? |
RE: coil overs?
Uh...you mean springs? You already have them in your car. Springs = Coilovers. There's another kind of suspension which I think is called leaf springs. Generally they use those kind in old muscle cars and trucks. I think they're more for heavy duty or something. I dont know.

RE: coil overs?
i had a buddy that put adjustable coilovers on his civic.... but thats the only time ive ever seen/heard of them. i think that somehow there is something that compresses the spring and holds it, but still allows it to compress and expand, you are just adjusting the maximum expansion of the spring. he said it only took the turn of a dial on the top of the spring, you just gotta take the wheel off and turn it a few times, and you can drop your car like 1/2- an inch...or something

Yeah, Im talking about adjustable coil overs. They can be stock height or dropped 3 inches. I would just put them on and only drop it like 1 inch for driving, and 2 inches for shows or something. |
RE: coil overs?
seems like it would be a sweet idea.. i dont know how they work, or if they make them for mustangs, but you could always try it, and if you dont like it and it doesnt work, sell em to somebody else :p
