Long story short i need a new front and rear bumper, hood, deck lid, and headlights, among other things. Luckly i have the body kit that iv been procrastinating putting on, so thats all goin on now under the covered insurance. So im just going to replace things while i can. I need a new hood and headlights. Im interested in HID lights, but need suggestions. And im deffinitally not buying lights off ebay. Also, i was thinking about getting a carbon fiber hood, because it would look great with the black theme. But either way im looking for opinions on new hoods, carbon fiber or not. No matter what, id be much happier without the fake gt hood scoop. Opinions are very welcome.

personally i dont care too much for the carbon fiber stuff unless most of it is painted. find a pic of the challenger concept and look at its cf hood. that is badass.  see if you can get an 03/04 cobra lookalike hood

This is the first i found, not bad. http://www.musclecardirect.com/store/product_info.php?products_id=141&osCsid=78c1c66fb7d84db8d03c

The rest of the car is blacked out obviously, so i think it might actually work.

I've always liked the look of carbon fiber.  Just not painted.  I always thought that would defeat the purpose of having it.  Sure you save a couple pounds, but no one can see it.  And for me that just isn't worth it.  Unless you NEED to replace the hood for the accident and it will ultimately cost about the same anyway....then I could understand painting it.

The point of carbon fiber is weight reduction. Ricers get it for the look. That's why they put those carbon fiber decals on their stock steel hoods.

did you check out the cobra R hood? i think it looks amazing, and staring at that hood while you are driving would be awesome, since its stacked so tall.

+1  Cobra R hoods look amazing. Or you could just go for a cowl--that would look sweet. What kind of body kit do you have? I wouldn't get the carbon fibre hood--it is a bit honda-ish.
