If you put duals on your 99-04, GET A GT BUMPER!!!!!!! I saw three sixers within 30 minutes today with duals and no bumper.. I think it detracts from the appearance instead of improving it. In fact, I saw a sixer with a GT bumper and no duals added yet, and it looked alot better than a sixer with duals and no bumper :)

Question though.. just how expensive is the GT bumper anyway? If people are going to spend hundreds on duals, why not go a little bit further and finish the job?

it's personal preference. i like the duals without the gt bumper because it looks like my 95gt exhaust. i wouldnt turn down an already painted gt bumper for my sixer, but it is low on my priority list. if you can catch a deal on a used one that matches your color maybe $150 otherwise you can get a new painted one from ebay in the $300 range. id rather get an eibach pro kit to lower my stang..which i am doing. and for the record you must be high if you think a gt bumper with no duals looks cool..

It actually doesn't look bad to my surprise. You can't notice it's missing the pipes from a distance. Of course with the duals it would look much better but IMO a sixxer with a GT bumper and no pipes looks alot better than a sixer with duals that almost touch the ground because they are on a sixxer bumper.

I will run about ~$150 for the bumper and like ~$300 for paint so you are looking at something close to $500.

I don't think it looks bad at all.  The only way I'll buy a GT bumper is if I can find a mineral gray locally for ~$100.  I can't justify spending $400 on something that doesn't bother me.

I like the way my dual tips look without the bumper......btw I don't have any money that I want to spend on a bumper, i rather spend the money on gears and a t lock.

my friends got a v6 with the gt bumper and no exhaust and it looks horrible.  i gotta agree that it looks better to have the gt bumper when you have duals.  it looks like there saposed to be there.  but its not my car.

i personally like the look of my exhaust, Mac catback, with rolled 3X14'' tips  esp on the passanger side, the tip looks like it huggs the upward angle of the rear bumper behind the tire, and it looks awesome. ill post a pic up when i get off work to show you what im talking about

Looks good both ways to me. The stupid little cutouts don't add much, nor do they really subtract, IMO, from 99-04s.
