they arent, but in comparison to what's been happening over the last 10 years, they are starting to look less and less impressive.

ORIGINAL: Ryan4.6vert Can someone please explain to me why a C4 corvette is an embarassment to the corvette name? agree with it or not, I could care less... but that is my freaking opinion. You guys are all for speaking your minds, but as soon as I do mine it's completely wrong and I'm called a moron and told that i think "I can never be wrong," like it's really that black or white.

Eh, I know what you meant. It's embarrasing compared to the C5...which it is kinda, but that's what evolution does. I ran a C4 in Mooresville when I only had a gear and a cutout...it wasn't even close. Back before the LS1, no one really had anything to touch it, and they still don't really, if you're not counting GM motors. Numbers wise, not too many motors compare to the C4's LT1, even today when the motor is over 13 years old. How many bone stock cars run 13's w/o the best driver in the world?

I live in Statesville....I've ran at Farmington twice and never at Mooresville. All my friends could get off work on Friday's, which is when we can run at Farmington and can't at Mooresville. We'll probably run at both this season, and some in Rockingham, the closest 1/4 track. The C4 I ran was on the street from about a 50 kick, I was in my power band and ran all over him, he might have just not been in the right gear, who knows, it was the street. I'm sure you know how much mid-top end power LS1's have though. Hence the reason they're better 1320 cars than 660 cars. Best I ran at Rockingham, on my first of only two runs with the gears in, I went 8.7 during August, it was pretty hot and humid. Everyone was running a couple tenths off their normal times. The M6 cars were still going 8.4-8.5 @ 87-90 mph though. It helps to launch a bit higher. I've got the headers, x-pipe, 3200 stall, and some Nitto's since then. So hopefully next time we go, I'll break something. EDIT: can't remember my exact mph...

I had a '95 TA. You had a 30 member f-body club here....? I didn't even know there were 30 f-bodie's around. Maybe 3000 Mustangs.... If you come back we can run them....it should be fun. Of course, if you keep telling me how fast your LT1 is I'll have to go 3/4 throttle and prove you wrong.

Stangpowah, from here on MF, neighbor worked at fbodymotorsports for a while, he also has a '98 TA. Eh, I've only got 335'ish rwtq....that + launching at 3000'ish can't be bad for it.... According to the guys on LS1tech I should go mid 12's if I dead hook and don't bust nothing. That guy with the EVO I work with hangs out in Hickory a lot and said there are a TON of f-bodies there.
