if it was an L98 I would agree. there heads and intake are the most restricive on the motor.. the LT1's are damn good, the LS1 are better. I have yet to ever see any head design that is good enough NOT to have gains when an aftermarket or worked head was bolted on.. I know many a people running 11's on noth stock LS1 and LT1 heads.. doesn't mean that they can't be imporved on.. as long as you don't try to bolt an LT1 head on an LT4 intake..
No, but you made it sound like your car is faster than an LS1. It's not. Said LS1 was either not racing (yes, even at the track) or not being driven to it's potential.
never claimed otherwise.. one LS1 I raced must have literaly unhooked the exhaust after the manifolds cause it was LOAD and sounded like poo.. made a wonderfull 14.7 run some people need to re learn the concept of exhaust flow VS velocity..
but thats not the point either.. I have beaten LS1's, I ahve beaten mustangs, I have been beat my LS1's and I ahve been beat by 1 mustang. Like I said I never ever ever cliamed that the LT1 was better or I was faster.. there is just no logical reason to even atempt to.
HP doesn't tell the full story. I know a guy with 532HP and can bearly make 12's... there are too many variables.... if you could take HP and know EXACTLY what someone would run that would be another. If you Know that you would always run exactly as expected, how boring would that be?
lol its 3280 with me in it :) and that was with 235/60R15 drag radials :) that was on a mustang dyno. I would probably dyno around 340 at the wheels on a dyno jet, its still fun to say I have 268rwhp and I have the slip for proof heh.

LS6 in C4=sleeper.
High 13's in the early 90's were not exactly embarrasing. At the time, it was probably one of the fastest Corvette's made. It's not a bad motor at all, it's just been improved upon.

a stock LT1 vette would kick your ass up and down the block. the LT4 would do even more.

Add some exhaust, intake, LT4 convertion or just a differnnt cam and work teh heads a little and your just as fast as if not faster then if you payed 3 or 4 times as much to swap in a LS1. so how does that make a sleeper? hell, head, cam, gear, exhaust, intake, clutch and program the thing and run low 12's.. you make no sence. why spend three times as much to go the same speed or slower and call it a sleeper? hell after all that slap a ATI on it and run mid 11's for still probably less then the LS1 swap would cost.

i heard they were built by lotus, but anyways, that should be the ultimate engine, i think, to do a swap with. like dropping an 03 cobra motor in an s2000, it has been done.

So I'm a moron because I have an opinion that compared to C5s C4s are slow as ****? Face it, C4s are the embarrassment to the Corvette name in hindsite. I never said it was a bad car, in fact I said I'd buy one.. But I think the Corvette should never lose, so the first thing I'd do is swap out the sh!t engine for THE SH!T engine.
