Tried to race a modded Z06, the guy refused; how typical!
I was out cruising a couple days ago when a red Z06 pulls out behind me. I pass a freeway onramp exit, and the Z06 starts to take the exit. When he sees me stay on the arterial, he swerves back behind me. Ok, so I want to have a go with this guy, and it looke like he was thinking the same. I am in my procharged 01 S281. So we pull up to a light, side by side. He motions for me to roll down my window. The first thing I said was, "Is that a Z06 or are those rear brake ducts fake?" He said it was a real Z06 with a few mods; exhaust and intake as well as somw visual mods. I was thinking, "this should be a good race for me, let's see if he wants to go." As soon as he heard the whine of the procharger idleing he asked me if I had a blower. I said yes, bring it on. When he pulled up I'm sure he wanted a race. After hearing the blower, he says, "no, I'm not gonna race ya." I say, "why?" He says, "I don't mess with blown cars." I say, " it will be a good race, if you have the mods you say you have." He says, "that's ok, beautiful car, though." Of course it was an older guy, as usual. Gosh I have trouble getting a race out of a Z06 around here. Too bad, I wanted to see what would have happened. It would have been a decent race.

birdie it would of been a waste of your time....if i can run a zo6,and stay with his doors without losing any ground.
i'm sure it would of been a slaughter.
