The shorter one...hence the term shorty antenna

I have the 8" antenna, looks awesome but radio reception sucks now.  May just be where I live too, but I really cant use the radio anymore.  But I really only listen to satelite and Cd's anyways so its all good.

um well your decision should be based on what radio stations you listen to, if you do at all. the height of the antenna is set to lock in on a certain frequency better than the rest.

you will notice you have a stronger signal at some signals with an 8" that you didnt with your stock one. and same goes with the 14"er.

the natural length of your antenna is made that size to maximize the full band of frequencies, so obviously changing the height, whether it be shorter or longer, will have an effect on how many and which stations come in clear.

my vote goes to, antenna delete + satellite radio.

I just unscrewed it and left it. Crappy reception most of the time, but looks alot better.

u can do that ^^
but i would find a screw or some kind of cap to go on there, i have found some really cool things that fit but i always took them off due to no radio reception

I cut mine down to 14" (with the roof line), its a big imprvement for the looks and I don't have any noticeable signal loss.
