Eleanor06 You said to me, way up at the top of this thread, That you didn't want to start an argument and then "Nice hood scoop" That Nice hood scoop was meant to reference Rice that I had on my car, so NO you didn't say Ford puts rice on there cars but you referenced the scoop as to rice.
Then , You may not like the reference but then , Don't make your car Rice and the reference wouldn't be there. Rice is Rice and all those things on your car are rice. The stuff I had on my old 69 mach 1 is not rice, according to the definition (anything that doesn’t enhance performance) The Hood scoop had a 10"X10" opening under it to a Velocity stack on a 950 3 barrel carb, The side exhaust were headers with 4" built in Mufflers, The tall spoiler , I made from 1/8" steel and it made the car squat at 100 mph with 3 lbs of air in my slicks instead of the backend walking side to side. The Hood scoop on my 06 was functional and had a 3 1/2 " hose to the air Box. The scoops on my daughters car are functional , under the 429 boss scoop is a Banshee shaker scoop system that hooks to the K&N filter box, When I said , I know what it takes and your car looks good, I was just being nice. And your right , it was hypocritical, so . A cowl scoop is for carburetors , it forces air into the engine by building up pressure on the windshield area, Your car takes air from the front fender, so what’s the point? the ground effects are for road racing and they only work when your car is about 2 inch off the ground and they create down force for the front wheels at speed, and to direct air away from UNDER the car.

Sumguy30,You are misinterpreting this post,this whole rice thing goes back to another post.(long story).I did not and would not call anybody here rice. And ZZMustang,I would appreciate if you delete that part from your last mess.It does sound like I'm the one calling stuff rice.You and I both know that's not true.
Sumguy30 You Are correct, It works , so it is not rice. Eleanor06 He didn't say you called anything rice, He said his works, so it wasn't rice, That would be true, Does your scoop work? or is it Rice?
Matt In case you haven't noticed, If you talk decent to me , I will talk decent to you, Otherwise there will be no "Give it a rest" The people that run this site can ban me if they like, I could care less, But I wont take crap from anyone. A little advise for the people that run the site. Instead of letting people START calling others names, they should maybe , step in at the start and stop the person who STARTED it. and not e-mail the person who defended themselves. That’s just a opinion, and I don't really care if they follow it or not.
