Nice nice. Man I cant wait to be running times like that, I'd be happy as hell if I could get into the 12s. I agree with you about waitin to get those cams, that way you could get a nice sc grind.

i think reaction times dont affect ET. the clock starts only when the car begins to move, not when the light flashes green.

Heck, he had an upper plenum and t/b too didnt he? Thats one hell of a time for your mods. I ported the stock plenum and got a 70mm throttle body the same time I did the s/c, so I never ran with them NA. I ran 13.51 before the cams and 13.43 after (untuned). I also did this in the dead heat of summer, 90+ degrees and I never dropped the tire pressure in my Nitto's low enough to hook (I didn't know) so my 60' on both the 13.51 and the 13.43 runs were high 1.9's. My 13.51 NA runs corrected to 13.0's and my 13.43 run corrected to a 12.8 - so like I said the heat plays a huge roll in track times. Just ask JD what he was running 2 months ago compared to a month ago (with the same mods) and he'll tell you. To give you an idea, I have the same mods right now as I did when I first got the s/c on. When I first ran it the best run of the night was a 12.4 in 85* weather. My times got about .1 quicker each time I went to the track (twice a month) as the weather cooled down. I've run in the 11's 4 times now and its all due to the weather. When it heats back up in the spring / summer my times are going to go back to low 12's unless I mod the car more. BTW - nice vid, very good sequence of clips :D VERY TRUE! Weather is THE biggest role in drag racing besides driver ability. If you are running in hot thin air then you wont run good times at all. Same goes for high elevation. Just three months ago I was struggling for a high 13 run. Now im trying my best to pull a 12 sec run. lol Joe is a good driver and to pull a 13.4 in 85-90 degree weather is great. quote:
wow great time and u rt time is .6, if u had rt like my friend .2, u would be in 12.7, REACTION times doesnt have an effect on trap times. The only time you really need to worry about REACTION times is when you are bracket racing and you have to get off the line as soon as possible to stay consistant. I was also running a .500 light. A .600 on a .50 light is like a .100 on a .000 light. EDIT: One of the guys pointed out my mistake here. I put 60' where I meant to say reaction times. Sorry. lol
