Anyone know where i can find them? What do you guys think would look good on a black coupe? Do they have a silver/chrome color? I was thinking white but i was looking for something different.

Thanks

I like black with silver strips...chrome might be too much. The most economical way might be vinal stickers and you could always take them off if you dont like them. You just have to get a good reputable place to make the stickers up. Some place might have the lay out already. Plus you could just do the hood and see if you goona like them before you get the rest.

if you did vinyl stripes, would it mess them up when washing and waxing your car?

JD-- go to Ebay motors and look up the Ebay store called "Baltimore Street Mods"

That's the one MD ordered from as well.

And back to the topic at hand,

I have the silver 9" stripes for my black 2000 and will be putting them on when the weather gets warm. You could do silver on black or red would like tight as well. I thought about doing red. :)

did you hold the silver stripes up close to your car to get a feel for what they look like? i was thinking of going silver aswell, they look good? how much did you pay for them?

rockthepony, red stripes would've looked sick if you either took the premium stripes off, or exchanged those for red ones too. i hope the silver and white decals don't clash.

you can find racing stripes almost everywhere. try www.bobwhitedecals.com they have just about anything you would ever dream of putting on your stang. also www.graphic-express.com. if you can't find something on either of those sites, you don't belong near a computer OR a stang. ;)

Yeah, I think it's gonna look tight. I wanna put them on so bad right now, but I'm going to wait until spring. :D I paid like $35 for enough to do double stripes on the car. 5 yards i think it was.

JJ-- the white stripes will be coming off before I put the new ones on. ;) I can't stand them anymore, so I'm taking those off for sure.

Im planing on getting some stripes from there also soon.

MD: did you ever end up getting your front bumper striped or did you just leave it the way it is? I dont really feel like buying two sets so im trying to figure out which part of the car im going to leave unstriped since it didnt seem to fit all the way for your car.

I thought he said he used some of the vinyl for bumper inserts and that's why it didn't fit all the way down the car.

The seller told me specifically that there is enough to complete the whole car. Because I was kinda worried about that too.

I think im going to end up just striping the hood, roof, and top of the trunk. I dont really like the way it looks on the back bumper area or on the front bumper.

Hey now, don't be knockin the bumper to bumper look. I'd say go white on the black.
Bumper to bumper 10 inch.

hey red, which blue is that on your car?

The color is sonic blue.

I had a local grafix shop put on the stripes. They took the scoop off so they could lay them under the scoop. Then they did the scoop and put it back on. The whole job was $200 but they said if they would have known it was going to take one guy 8 hours to do it they would have charged double. :D The only bad thing about having it on the bumper is that I backed into a shopping cart and scraped the vinyl. I took it back and they only charged me $30 to replace the small section.

i work at a publix grocery store and i make sure there are no carts near my car. everytime i take out groceries, i bring in all the carts.

Haha.

The good thing about working at the store is that you can watch your car. :D

I'm dating a guy at work who sometimes does carts, and he's always watching over my car. ;)

I wouldnt try ebay, cuz you dont know what kind of quality it is. I would look on google and search for some name brand stuff. Just dont do the bumper when you do the stripes cuz thats the only thing that makes them look tacky. I would also do 8' stripes. But hey thats just my opinion

well i just got back from edmonton and went to a sign and decal shop in west edmonton mall. He had lots of colors, he gave me the roll of black (like my car) so i could put other colors up to it to see how they clashed. Hes got metallic copper and it looks damn good. i dont know how it would actually look on the car though. but it would be alot different. Also i liked the charcol grey against black.

its $6 per foot, which is 14" wide, so 12" x 14" for $6. seems expensive, if i need 30 feet, its $180 plus gst. should i just order off ebay? is there a quality difference you think?

the guy said he would put a protective white film on the vinyl, so when i squeegy it on, i wont wreck the vinyl.

any suggestions? ebay for $50 or shop for $150-$180? Canadian prices.

personally if my car was black, I'd go with a dark red. I don't know where u live but if u can find a weekend flea market, sometimes there will be a guy doing vinyl work. Or, even better, go to a sign company who does trucks. They will have a computer and u can sit down and do exactly what u want. They are expensive though.

I`m thinking about doing red on my black vert as well. It looks really good on the new `stang that`s in all the magazine ads.
