well a complete 8.8 rear out of a v8 should be in order if you truley busted your 7.5, a used one from a boneyard complete usually runs around $350

he already has the 8.8

turbo 2.3's came with the 8.8

check the U-joints first. i'd bet the stock T-lok gears just let go if it's not the U-joints

the ring and pinion rarely go out

if it's the U-joints then it is a real cheap fix if not expect $400-$500 for parts and labor to fix

im not sure about it being an 8.8, i haven't looked at it, but it's not a stock 2.3 turbo... the motor is from an 88 thunderbird... not the rear end

oh well it's a 7.5 will 3.45 gears most likely. if that's the case you have 2 choices re-do the 7.5 which is fine or swap a v8 or turbo4 8.8

if the rear went. check to see if there is any slop in the driveshaft compared to rear yoke movement. it the driveshaft can move at all whilt the yoke is stationary there's your problem
