Got her up to a buck 20 (for you guys that dont like street racing, that is a 120 miles per gallon). Surprisingly smooth. Quickly came upon other MGP enthusiasts. Had to hit the brakes. excellent! i bet it had ALOT more to go too btw, your new hi-res pics gives me sticky pants

Thanks guys. xian67, I have spent way too much (well over $100k). Had a lot more to go. My77stang, that was only 4th gear, and not to the end of that. I'm still a little leery of taking a 40 year old car, with all new (untested) parts, and pushing it hard. Several people have pm'd me asking if they could make my car their desktop wallpaper. ha ha Go ahead! Knock yourself out! SarNz, if you do, make sure you budget yourself accordingly and then add 50% on to that. All the little things add up VERY quickly. Front end alignment, glass, glass install, undercoating, insulation, welding wire, grinding wheels, cutting wheels, etc etc ad nauseum

just think of what the car is worth being done "right".... well over 100k. and i hear ya about the high speed thing, but as you take it up that fast you'll get comfortable knowing your parts are working. that car is designed to go VERY fast and handle the speeds without issue. dont even think of it as a 40 year old car, because that puppy is brand spankin new

I just got my EWR plates and installed the fender tag. I am getting the door sill plates engraved later on today and will install them, also. I used 3M Plastic Emblem & Trim Adhesive. It is clear, and I thought it might be better than 2 sided tape. I am entering Medusa in the MOCA (Mustang Owners Club of Austin) Mustang & Ford Show in Austin on August 4th from 10am - 2 pm.

I just got back from the 27th annual Mustang Owners Club of Austin, Mustang/Ford show. I put my car in the Modified 64-78 mustang class. Medusa was an (attention whore). She won a Class Award (runner up in class) and the Participants' Choice (everyone who entered the show gets to vote on their favorite). There were a lot of entrants and spectators there.

Yeah, Richard's supersnake was a hot item at the show. There was always a crowd around him asking him questions. It's too bad that Richard will never be able to sell that supersnake though. Nobody will know how to repair it if anything wears out but for Richard. These heavily modified Mustangs are great for shows, but not real smart if you are looking to sell them in the near or far future. I am sure Richard is enjoying his heavily modded Mustang right now. I would like to hear from him 30 years from now.

I love your car. I hope when I get older I can do something like that. My grandad has a 53 vette right now he's working on. I would love to go up there and try to help him work on it.

And the parts that I use are very serviceable after market parts, so anybody can repair it. It is great for shows, and driving. I think it is very smart because I can sell it in the very near or far future. You want to hear from this project in the near or far future, then be a little more "civil". Don't attack so harshly, enjoy what everybody else enjoys. You don't like it. That's OK. But that is not what everybody else thinks, by the vote of confidence in the "Participants' Choice" award that this car received.

car is super Bad*ss. You should be very proud of her, and i think there is going to be alot of awards in your near and far future. As far as resale-there will always be someone that will want that car, and will pay big money for it. $150k is just the start of it.
