   Is it ok to stroke out a 289 that is already bored over .040? thanks

stroking the engine has lil to do with boring out only to add about 5-6 cubic inches...if the block is in great shape I see no problems...has the block been decked?

     I haven't had the engine apart yet, but people tell me it is a lot safer to have a block .030 over rather then .040 to make it a stoker.  3 engine builders told me this.
