i really hate cops there was no need to use a taser. He was obviously drunk as hell and the cop could have easily taken hin down with out it. God i hate pigs
Did you not see them wrestle around for a minute...and he couldn't get him down. Then the guy was going back to his vehicle to run. Possibly killing an innocent person. It was very justified.

Are you fu*king nuts? There would have been no confrontation at all if the drunk had not been drunk driving in the first place. Then he had the nerve to tell the cop he wasnt doing the test... THEN wrestled with the cop in the process of arrest. The cop had every right to use a taser on the guy. Hell, he's lucky I wasnt there. I would have beat his @$$ with a night stick!
He deserved it, especially when he said your under arrest. The drunk was ressisting arrest. And then wrestled with the cop lol. He was doing his job. They didnt always have them cool toys, he could of whipped out his night stick and knocked him out :)
In the real world the officer would have moved him out of view of the camera and beat him rodney style untill he did what he was told..... I would have.
If he was in Houston a couple of months ago before they got tasers he just would have gotten shot. Seems like they would just shoot for something to do.
Good rule of thumb: A man with a gun and a taser is in charge so do what he says.
Awnumber1 you are competely in the wrong. You have to be 16 years old and been in trouble before. The Cop was doing his job! Does it matter how the cop gets him to the ground? The man was resisting arrest. Sure he might be a whimp but that doesnt matter. He is a Peace officer! And was making sure he goes home. If you think you can do better then go become a cop. If not! Then shut ur Pie Hole and be crateful people like him keep you alive and safe from stupid drunk drivers.

Agreed with Stinger. Of the four people who I have locked and loaded on, three were drunk, the other was a protester in Germany who came over the fence. When you are in that situation there are quite a few other things you need to be aware of, you cant let him get a weapon of yours, so one hand usually is on your sidearm. If you are so burly as to bring down a belligerent drunk with one hand, then you better go be a cop yourself tough guy.
If you are stupid enough to drive drunk, then you deserve worse than what he got. I have been messed up enough by drunk or stoned drivers in my time, lost friends to them for no good reason, had my cars hit and run by them. Theres a reason Im not a cop, I dont have enough restraint for stupid people like that.
