Hey Guys! I started a thread yesterday morning that generated a pretty good discussion/debate from what I could see. I did this before I went to work and wasn't able to log on yesterday. I logged on briefly yesterday at work but didn't have a chance to reply. I check back in this morning to find that Soaring has locked the thread. Are you kidding me???? You call me a troll? What? Because I think the white letter tires on your car are out dated? Don't give you're stock BS because your C code coupe didn't come that way. If any of you have been to any car shows worth a damn you know what I was talking about in the other thread.
As to me being a troll you obviously don't know the meaning. I don't post a lot because I work a lot. I do check in often and read the threads as much as I can. Have you seen a picture of my car? I added one below if you haven't. I am a Mustang guy not a troll. I tried to start a discussion to open some minds around here to something different other than Centerline wheels, white letter tires with drum brakes. I don't see where that earns me the title of Troll? Let's remember this is a forum to discuss and debate ideas about Classic Mustangs. The other thread did that and didn't need to be closed. You don't know the meaning of the word troll?hmmm? Do you know the difference between moderator and dictator? You can ban me if you like. I don't think I'll visit too much anymore with tools like you running the ship!
Thanks guys! It's Titanium Silver. I used to have a Superformance Cobra and they offered this color. I believe it was from a mid 90's Lambo? Not positive about that. The thread was discussing the current state of modified Mustangs in relation to it's competition, Camaro's, Challengers etc... It wasn't that big a deal but I didn't like being called a troll. Thanks for the compliments on my car.
Nice car! I'm not too fond of white letter tires either, I think they take away from the wheels and the overall look of the car. I'm not trying to start any fights here, but personally I don't agree with Soarings decision to close your other thread (which I didn't get a chance to look at), everybody has their own opinion and they should be able to express it. Hang in there.
I like the white letter on the tires if you have stock hub caps . But when I get new TT rim I will go with just the black side of the tire. Thats my 0.02
Thanks for the explanation Derrick. Yes, I am fully aware of what a troll is, and your thread had troll written all over it because you were stirring up an old issue that always causes old wounds to open, and you did not respond after your initial post. In the future, if you wish to post a controversial issue thread, hang around and join in the discussion, or not post until you have the time to do so.
YAY!!! Someone else who still has the black/yellow plates!!! Mine are the original California plates. Though the drivetrain and most of the suspension is pretty modern

Concerning the other thread, Soaring did give fair notice before locking. others then agreed it should be locked. Anyone that was around a month or so ago knows that this subject of concourse vs. restomod is like arguing catholic vs. muslim. Both believe in the same GOD and arguing will just bring up bad feelings.
Anyways, I really like the color on your car. Can you find the exact PPG number for me?

Derrick-
I'm behind you 100% on this. I'm of the opinion that this section of the forum is for anything to do with classic mustangs, whether it be regarding a concourse correct piece, or how to install an electronic fuel injection. As long as it pertains to classic Mustangs, it should be allowed. Unfortunatly, the moderator of this section does not see it that way, and as I have so politely been told, "this is not a democracy". Usually any thread regarding a classic Mustang modification that the moderator does not approve of gets capped with him doing some name calling and equipment bashing then the thread gets locked, moved, or even deleteted all together.
In your original thread ( http://www.mustangforums.com/m_3265813/tm.htm ) it was mentioned that this topic has been previsously discussed. Since you are new, it's pretty obvious that you weren't aware of that problem and shouldn't be faulted for bringing it up. Urban dictionary defines a forum troll as "Someone who gets pleasure by typing annoying/controversial/offensive words at strangers on Internet forums, for them to read" ( http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=forum+troll ). Again, you are new around here and didn't know you were bringing up a controversial topic so I don't think you fit that description.
I was part of the original discussion that was referenced and it included name calling, equipment bashing, pouting, etc. by other people who should have know better. The discussion went downhill fast last time, but my feelings (and probably others that share my opinion) have not changed; as long as the discussion is actually regarding classic Mustangs, it is unacceptable for the thread to be locked, moved or deleted. As adults we should be able to discuss this topic again without it turning ugly.
Pitch in your two cents and reply politely when asked questions. I understand if you don't reply as quickly as other people, because some of us have still have jobs and can't monitor all conversations at all times during the day. Maybe other people should learn patience instead of name calling. As far as your fear of being banned... keep your posts professional and on topic and that shouldn't happen. There are only a few people around here that have the power to out-right ban people and the moderator of this section is not one of them.

A troll on any forum is one who starts a controversial thread knowing it will cause the members to get into an argument and stir up trouble for the site. Then, doesn't post again, but just sits back and laughs at the ensuing arguments. I agree with Soaring on this one. He stopped it before it got completely out of hand.

Troy- I have noticed your dislike for Soaring almost from the time you became a member of this forum. From what I have read and observed, Soaring is one of the most knowledgable classic Mustang owners on here, and does a good job of keeping the members here from cutting each other's throat. It is obvious you don't know what his job is as the moderator, and you certainly can't know what his powers are as the moderator. My suggestion is that you back off and let the man do his job and quit complaining every time you don't get your way.
