Default Wednesday approaches

Well last week I ran my car for the first time at the loacl 1/8th mile track. My times were well lets say Horrible I will post them and you tell me what I prob should have run and can possibly run. All the runs I was completly overdriving it and just hammering 1st and second all the way and tires spun all 4 tims through around 3000 in 2nd then the car took off. For a 5spd lol I can say im very consistant hehe but plz dont pick on me too bad this only happens at the track lol. here are my mods so far few more here on wednesday.
CAI. 3.73 gears, Diablo Custom Tune, Full Exhaust Shortys not LT's. Wednesday 75mm TB/Plenum and Nitto 555r's 275/40/17's will be here.
I launched around 2000-4000 each time with Khumo 245/45/17's Half way gone.

1st
60' = 2.82
330' = 6.91
1/8 = 9.82
Mph = 77

2nd
60' = 2.83
330' = 6.80
1/8 = 9.79
Mph = 77

3rd
60' = 2.77
330' = 6.80
1/8 = 9.72
Mph = 79

4th
60' = 2.87
330' = 7.01
1/8 = 9.91
Mph = 76

Yes if my 60' were very very very very very very very very embarasing thats why I wont show the R/T's LOL. Any tips are welcomed

When you launch, are you just dropping the clutch, or are you slipping it. On street tires, just dumping the clutch will result in a terrible 60' time. Try launching right off idle and see if that helps a little. If that doesn't work, try slipping the clutch more, from around 2500 - 3000 RPM. And of course, better tires will help too.

Umm...like...I'm not even mad at your 2.8 60's...I'm just impressed. I don't think I could do that if I tried.

Yeah, don't do that. As you can see from your 60' times, it doesn't work. Try the other methods, and then get some better tires next time around. I'm in need of better tires as well, so I kind of feel your pain.

Well I orderd 2 Nitto 555r's 275/40/17's on friday, and they will be here wednesday should see some low 9's maybe high 8's with some low 80 mph traps maybe around 81-83.

high 8's should be a problem. 8.8@ 80 sounds like a good goal.
