Default 3.9 5 speed shift idle

I have a new 3.9 5 speed that holds rpm speed when I shift it. I am used to the idle dropping a little bit during the shift with this car it stays where it was. I took it back to the dealer where I purchased the car and they said this was normal for the newer Mustangs. They said Ford changed the programing in ther computer several years ago. Is this true, should I worry about what it is doing, and won't this cause my clutch disc to wear prematurely.
Any help anyone can give me will be appreciated.

No, your clutch won't wear prematurely or anything like that. As for the hanging RPMs, for didn't change anythin gin the programing, it's just something that happens. My engine did it after I messed with my CPS. But after about a good day of driving it stops. You're engines computer actually has a little aftifical intelligence in it. It has the capability to learn when to fire at the the correct time and how much fuel needs to be added. This function in your EEC is called adaptive learning. So either your engine is still in it's learning phase, or you have a dirty MAF or IAT or a broken or bad wire to either of those.
