So today i took took my dad out forhisfirst ride in my stang since the engine rebuild and the T5 install. I let him drive it and he loved it( even though at 6'8 he had a little trouble in the 71) Then i told him id show him how to really drive it( he wasnt gettin on it- hasnt driven stick in 15+ years so he was also very rusty). So i get to a 55 mph road, launch, floor it, and the car jerks and goes to idle, it took me a few seconds to relize that the pedal was to the floor. The throttle cable snapped. The first time i went to show off to my dad of all of my hard work and it backfires

. So i pull off to agravel turnarounddown the road after coasting and find my throttle cable snapped at the loop where it connects to the pedal. I turned up the idle to 2500 and drover her home just shiftin through the gears. Anyways, im looking for a replacement, but all i find are totally adjustable(both sides)mine wasnt adjustable AT ALL, it had a spring tensioner on one side and the loop on the other side, the flange for the firewall was also not adjustable. What do you reccomend i put on there to fix this? a fully adjustable cable? Also, in the picture, my cable has the spring tensioner( because it has this- do i still need a throttle return spring?) i had on there but i think that both of the springs combined was enough to break the cable as i slammed it to the ground, any idea's?
Also, all the cables on summit are 24 inches long, anywhere know of shorter( 22 inch) cables because thats what mine was stock and it still had to bent in a hump because it was long. -Jon
