Hey everyone, i was at a car show in Baltimore where they had a couple of Saleen Mustang on display and one of them had a see through roof, when standing outside of the car looking at the roof, it looked like a normal black roof, but when you were inside of the car, you could see through the roof to the sky. I think they called it the night star of somethin, not exactly sure, but i would love this for my black 06. I tried emailing saleen to see if there was any way this part could be purchased, but never got a response. Anyone have any idea if this is even possible, and if you can buy parts from Saleen? or if anyone knows of anything similar id really appreciate all the help i can get.
i've seen both roofs up close and multiple times. the Saleen roof and the CDC Glassback roof are 2 different roofs. between the back window and the roof itself, the Saleen is smooth. it looks like it's all 1 piece from far away. the CDC Glassback has the additional 3rd break light above the back window and is a part of the roof. extra black moulding fits on the sides of the back window and along the roof in order to make it look even. here's some pics to give you an idea.
