Default New Member, which is best?

Hey everyone, new member here, I currently own a lightly modified 1993 Eagle Talon TSi AWD, it's a great car, but I plan on getting something different for college, what is the best year(years) for the GT 94-98. Such as best motor, tranny differences, computer programming differences, etc, thanks for any help!

Also, which is faster the 94-95 5.0 or the 96+ 4.6, also which is more reliable and easier to get power out of? thanks!

94-95 mods should be a dime a dozen cause its a 5.0, but it has less power to start so be prepared to be beat a lot until you do some work. but if it were me i would either go for an older 5.0 like a fox body or a newer 4.6 (current style). SN95 was like puberty...kinda awkward clumsy stage of the mustang...

i agree with juga however, it depends i prefer the 94-98 body style over the newer, and the only difference in performance is the heads which are somewhat inexpensive and easy to install. if you want a better more reliable engine go with the 4.6 modular the torque difference is obvious and it remains strong at higher miles.

Either choice of mustangs will be the slowest mustangs (stock) around, especially the 96-98's. Seems how performance suks with both, just go with whichever you prefer the looks of better. Me, I would go with the 94-95 because of the 5.0, its cheaper and easier to modify.

I agree with MD. The 4.6 was not very good (powerwise)in its early development in the mustangs, 96-97. I think the '98 was a stonger car though not 100% sure. The early SN95's are slower due to the extra 500-600 pounds or so over thefox cars but the chassis isexponentially better. They are a more well rounded carrather thana straight line car.
