Verado -> Lowering (5/17/2007 8:47:17 PM)

Hey guys. its been awile.
Anyway. Now ive saved up enough to lower my car. What springs will give me the biggest drop. If i remember right, the eibach...right? Which model? Also, roughly how much is it for installation?
thanks!

dude install them urself, its like paying yourself $100 an hour like a dirtbag shop would do.. and alot of people do their own springs, havent heard of one person yet on these forums that has had them installed by a shop

tims 88 4 -> RE: Lowering (5/17/2007 8:56:31 PM)

sportlines i believe  do them yourself they are cake puddin especially the rear all you got to do for that is take the bolts out of the shocks and the front all you need to do is take the cotter pin out of the spindle and and take the bolt out and the spring should come out. i dont think you need a spring compressor im not sure all you need a shop to do for you is an alignment and even still you can do that your self with a weight and a level but that is a biotch and a half with out the machine

FBCBEER -> RE: Lowering (5/17/2007 8:57:59 PM)

The eibach pro kit is the one with the 1.5 inch drop all around and it doesnt need cc plates, just a camber bolt. You can just install them yourself using the mustangworld instructions. It should be pretty easy. If you have a shop do it, it would be maybe $300. With that $300, I would buy some cc plates, and drop it more.

It's not a hard job at all. You will need a floor jack, some jack stands and some hand tools and get the front end alligned right away.

flash20 -> RE: Lowering (5/17/2007 11:00:27 PM)

whats up verado long time no talk, i got the prokit and love it i think it would look killer on ur car[:D]

Verado -> RE: Lowering (5/17/2007 11:31:17 PM)

Well guess ill have to wait a month for my brother to come down from college so he can help me install them.
Long time flash.

What are the difference between the prokit drop and sportline drop?
It seems like my front sits higher than my back so shouldnt the front have a greater drop than the back?

amrcnidyot -> RE: Lowering (5/18/2007 12:08:47 PM)

if you want it really low go w/ the sportlines. i think they drop it 2". you will just need to buy cc plates and probably have a shop adjust them when they are on the car to get your alignment right.

MUSTANG042004 -> RE: Lowering (5/18/2007 12:14:25 PM)

2 inces in my  opinion is kinda low, i stay with 1.5 lowring kits less money less things too worry about.

v6stang07 -> RE: Lowering (5/19/2007 6:50:12 PM)

i like the 1.5 from the pro kit, i have it and love it, but the sportlines would be a good choice if u wanna go low
and glad to know ur not dead, its been a while

Jugador -> RE: Lowering (5/19/2007 7:15:57 PM)

even if you were lowering the car yourself this thread would probably belong in general discussion.  paying someone to lower your car is not even remotely tech related.

Verado -> RE: Lowering (6/10/2007 12:16:00 AM)

Anyone have pics of the prokit drop?

Verado -> RE: Lowering (6/11/2007 5:21:49 PM)

But those are v8's and convertables with the prokit. Those are the only one's that american muscle has.

v6stang07 -> RE: Lowering (6/11/2007 8:33:47 PM)

Verado -> RE: Lowering (6/12/2007 4:51:12 PM)

Thanks alot bro. Its looks good. So all you did was put the prokit springs on and just got an allignment? No cc plates? How do you like the ride?

v6stang07 -> RE: Lowering (6/12/2007 5:19:41 PM)

i got the springs and an eibach camber bolt kit both from stangsuspension
jst put the springs in and take the camber bolts to the alignment shop, install and alignment was 80bux for me
50 for alignment and 30 for install of the bolts
my ride is decent, i dont really complain but i also have 140k on my shocks and struts, but i wouldnt change the springs for anything, i love them!
thanks and i hope this helps ya
