I know this a really stupid question, but where can I find tires that have the white lettering on the side? Preferably ones that are suitable for everyday driving, like not D/R's or slicks (obviously). I'm planning out a super old school look on this Mach I may be getting... and black DD bullitts wrapped in tires with the white lettering on the side just screams old school to me.

This video is almost a perfect example of what I'm looking for. This is almost my dream car (looks wise), from the competition orange and black DD bullitts all the way down to the 2 tone fuel door. The only thing that gets me is the chain-link plate frame haha. But anyway heres the tires I was talking about:

They might be painted on or you could go to a discount tire and tell them what you need and they should be able to find it.  Im pretty sure they have some road huggers or maybe some bfg's that will meet your needs.

I never thought of painting the writing on them... thats a good idea. You'd need some crazy paint for that though. I guess I'll try the shop by me. Thanks for the info

no problem just make sure you buy some legit tire paint and make sure you put it on right because I've seen some that just looks cheap.

Try Coker Tire (Google should be able to find them).  They specialize in older tire types and designs.
