Default De-tuned car for hot weather and to stop street racing BUT

I decided to take the Stang to work today and also to curb the amount of street races I have gotten into lately by running the street tune which drops my RWHP to about 412. It also should increase my mpg which is purely secondary. I'm on my way to work, I get 3/4 of the way there and some blue hair in an older Volvo 960 drives straight up my arse with this sh*t eating grin on his face. I'm going the speed limit and turn left, he follows and buries himself up my rear again. I'm thinking wtf??? A year ago I can't find a race to save my life except for the soccer moms who race everything in those damn mini-vans and now I can't go anywhere without somebody wanting some.

I finish the turn and he pulls along side, I open my window and ask what his major malfunction is and he replies with "this Swedish car will lay waste to that pile of crap, cars these days are all show no go" (damned if that didn't sound like old ricer talk?!?!?). I'm thinking this guy is 1. an ahole plain and simple, 2. he has done something big to that oversized box or 3. he's just plain stupid and he thinks his stock Volvo is the same car Volvo shot out of garages in their early turbo wagon commercials 15 second cars that were quick for the time. From memory the 960 isn't anything for anything to worry about, well maybe a Focus should worry so when he gunned it I simply left it in second at 20 and smoked by him then pulled back, I stayed next to him while he had that poor engine wailingfor a second and at about 50 I nailed it in second again and put about 4 busses on him and waited for him at the next light. He had his window closed and he just looked at me.

Normally I show respect to drivers, and old people I alwasy show respect, it's how I was brought up, but this guy deserved nothing but contempt, that jagload got two middle fingers from me and when the light turned green, he nailed it and I showed him one more time what Mustang tailights look like, I even tossed him the hazards not that he would understand it.

Of course now I'm at work, thinking how I let an old arshole get under my skin and who really looked like the idiot, I think I'm going to ask Bob for a third tune making 200rwhp so I can't keep doing this stupid sh*t and keep it to the track.

I expected a few of these and yeah I hear ya and normally at least until it got the SC installed I didn't really bother much. This year the fast cars seem to be out all over the place, not this 960 obviously, I'm talking STI's and such. But if we were to trade, you get the debt the car brings with it.

Ok, after driving today with the base tune, can't deal with it so in went the race tune, the car feels soooooooo much better! I guess I'm going to just have to deal with the temptation.

If you have to have a "street tune" and a "race tune" using the same octane fuel either you really don't have a "race tune"... you have a safe one and a ticking time bomb.

Um, I'm trying to find whereI said my street tune required race gas? If I have said that then Ididn't sleep that day, but I don't believe I ever said that.[sm=chairshot.gif]

I don't get it, you don't run into old people like that too often, it was like the Twilight Zone or somethingand it wasn't walking him, I could have stopped and waited and taken off again, smoked by him and had coffee.
