Does any one have a picture of a 245/40R17 on a 9" wide rim? I am sure the 275s will look better, but have four brand new 245s on the car now and don't want to replace all four tires at the same time I am replacing all four rims. I plan on leaving the 245s just on in the front until later.

Thanks,
Mark

the 245's will seriously look stupid, they are also the wrong size for the car... you SHOULD have 245/45/17's

what year is the car these are going on? maybe I can make an alternative suggestion.

I had 4 new tires on my car when I bought my deep dish wheels, but I just kept them as winter tires on my stock wheels

They are on an '00 GT. I don't drive the car in the winter, I live in Maine.

275s are harsh for front tires up here. I was a long time Corvette owner and had 275s on the Vette. Potholes and ruts seem to attract the 275s.

I am planning on at least 275s in the rear. I hate the way the stock rear tires look like they are sunken into the body of the car.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

BTW, just checked and they are 45 sidewall ratio.

I have a 94 cobra and im running 275/40/17's up front and 315/35/17's in back... it makes the car look VERY badass... and it really helps in the handling department too

I'll second that! Same tire sizes. I use Sumitomo HTR-Z's all around. Soft tire for good grip, just crappy tread life is all, but cheap tire. I love 'em. Car rides smooth as hell and yes the handling does help.
BTW, 17X9's up front and 17X10.5's in the rear since AdderMk2 didn't mention, at least on my car they are. black '03 cobra replicas.
