I sold my 06 GT a few months ago and miss it. I went to the local dealer saturday and made a deal for a 07 Marron GT. Got Chrome Bullits (18) sitting in the living room already. Whooo Whoo.
99.999% of the time, when I ask a question, it's not a joke. About 5 years ago I asked what a ricer was. I would guess you would not know what a zoot suiter is . So let me make it clear, I have no idea what a thunker is, if you don't want to explain, thats ok, I have made it in life so far not knowing.
ZZmustang, I in the same boat as you..... pass me a paddle ..... where are we heading?

I have never had a problem with asking , "what are you talking about" Sometimes people have a problem answering, But asking is not a problem. you know, when you think you know everything about cars, along comes someone that says " Thunker" and you reolise that terminolagy about cars changes over time and people call stuff by different names. which is just fine, but the new people need to understand that in 10 years a Thunker will be called something else.

I mention thunker because myself and many others have new Mustangs that the front suspension has a bad thunking noise that Ford won't fix. Just being told to live with it so far. It sounds like a 100,000 mile car with bad control arm bushings. Apparently your other Mustang didn't have it or you would know the noise for sure. Just test drive the one you want first. You would hear the noise on small bumps/ripples in the road under 35mph. Most Mustangs don't have the noise but mine had it driving off the lot. I ordered my Mustang so test driving wasn't available.
I have a "thunker" as well, been that way since I bought it...so does anybody know or have a general "theory" as to what causes the busted strut sound in the front end???? Bad bushings??? Just wondering, I may one day want to try and fix it.

JT no rolling papers for me thank you. When I was In High school. maybe, but thats been 40 years. My first mustang was a 69 mach 1. I'm glade we could settle this without name calling , and I learned there is a thump in the front end of the new mustangs and WOT means wide open throttle, and CAI=Cold Air Intake .
see that wasn't so hard. Thank you. the zz in my name was just a way to use mustang for my name. But then, ZZ top drumer lives right down the road from me.
