Well, I've got to chime in on this madness.  First of all, in the videos of the supra, the sound of it is just about stupid.  Second, it didn't beat the mustang by that much.   Third, how much power do you really need?  I mean, the cars for a driver, correct?  It just seems crazy to me to need that much power.

gotta get to work fast riiiigght?? gotta have lotsa power imo. even if its just a men ego thing so u can say " mines bigger, its got more hp" also, my buddys drive V6's and such, so a 302 is a hell of an improvement over them. As a choice for a Supra or a Muscle.... I would honestly take something newer. My 71 just has little problems that drive me insane, little wiring issues from being older, small creases kinks that it came with that each will have to be worked out, the car will NEVER be as smooth driving or handling as the supra, but im not woried as that is not my intention. I like the idea of a newer car, and a change may be what your looking for, but everytime i go outside, start her up, drive her around, rev it up, get smiles from everyone, chirp second n 3rd, then think of all the hours and work i put into my mustang.... i just couldnt sell it. -Jon

while a TT Supra is not on my shopping list any time soon, I can respect one. I dont class them as rice either. They can be made to handle and stop as well as go quick in a straight line.

Ricers are 4 cyl non turbo with stickers, wings, dangly bling hanging off the mirror, fart cans, really loud sound systems that cost more than the car and seats raked back so far that the driver cant see over the steering wheel which is why is a good thing for the rest of the road going public that he is driving  a "look fast" as opposed to a "go fast" car.

If I were in Superdavids shoes, I'd keep the stang because i know whats right and wrong with it and selling it now to buy another later may or may not happen (priorities change). To me, the stang is more rewarding because it is more challenging to drive (and i will never grow tired of the sound of 8 cylinders thru 2 pipes). Any moron can drive my turbo subaru fast. There are only 2 other people I trust to drive my stang over 30 mph.

Would I give SD a hard time for swapping the stang for a TTSupra...maybe just a little, but really its he who would regret the decision later.

okey, the hell with it. This is a stang forum, and we love our mustangs, at least i do.Keep the stang!!!! unless you really don't want it anymore, then buy the rocket. Its up to you,and you only. You have to drive it, not us. I would choose good old amarican muscle. Heres a qoustion-What made you buy your Mustang in the first place?? When you were a kid, did you want a Mustang, or a Toyota??

I think I understand most of the stuff about the turbo set up, but how would u inclose the carb? could you use a paxton air box like they use on their paxton supercharged cars and just mount the tubing to that? enlighten me
http://www.paxtonauto.com/systems_carb_acc.html (the first one i mean)

They can't Chicken.  Black LX and others are full of it.  This is a classic Mustang site.  Stick with it.  If you want to talk about Toyotas and Celicas, then I suggest you go those sites.

Can't do what and how are some of us full of it?

there are five basic categories for rear view mirror bling. There are: beads, crosses, crystals, air fresheners, and parking passes. Other stuff like fuzzy dice (which we didn’t actually see any of yesterday), miniature soccer balls, and stuffed animals, fall into the “Other” category because they are so rare.

ya seriously, people should lighten up.  but ya, that car bling is hilarious...maybe i should get some

seriously, everyone at my school is like "you should put 20's on that thing" and im just like "uhhh no thanks, im not retarded"  seriously, the biggest i would ever consider going is 17 and when i get new ones they'll probably be 15's, i like those better.

everyone should just lighten up, its not your car so why do you care so much?  i think maybe some people have too much time on their hands...

"Throw some D's on that bitch". That's one of the many things that will wreck a classic.

Do it. The Supra is worth atleast 3x as much as your mustang.

Some of you have no clue what you're talking about lol

Say that again 10-20 years from now.

ok man we've really got to talk about this mustang vs. supra thing ya the supra can make just as much horsepower as the mustang(not to me anyways), but can you cruise down the main drag with whiskey train pumpin loud from the inside of your Supra!?!?!?!? on friday/saturday night hhhhmmmmmm will you get the same RESPECT asw you would in a mustang, ok i have a friend named Jamie Pound he's got a blown 66 nova hardtop(maroon) whenever heys rollin through andalusia, alabama (my town)ALL the ricers (and cars made to look like one )stay way back, there's only been one car to ever beet him in a race and that was my dad's old mustang and it had a blown boss 429 in it

Hey superdavid, this here ought to be all the talking out of you need. If you sell your stang I'll be pissed at you. Your stang is sweet. Supras are cool sure, but with the stang youve got what I want. You can hold it in front of my nose and brag and I cant do anything about it. With a supra I'd be like BIG DEAL. You DID have a classic mustang once, remember that car?
