Meh.  Ford is my favorite car maker.  However, I love many, many other cars.  I feel sorry for you folks that stick to just one make, the more  options you have, the more there is to enjoy.  Like Black said, real enthusiats are not biased.  Be open, give Ford folks a good name.

why not twin turbo the stang

408 + TT = 1 kabillion HP

of course, you could probably put a few NOS stickers on the supra and make it faster

haha fast 65 beat me to the yes  yeah you could do what some kid i know does, sell drugs like crazy! he bought himself a brand new saab 9-3, put a bigggggggg turbo on it (much bigger than stock) and like 9000 dollar wheels/custom paint...but he did get kicked out of school an d thrown out of his house by his parents...worth it? thats up to you to decide

Definetly worth it. What kind of a dumbass buys a Saab, if I were selling drugs I'd at least be rolling in Beamer. Go figure.

ive seen 1000HP supras run 13's

Hey man, the stickers on thier cars dont count for horsepower

haha thats not what i meant but funny.  i meant that alot of supra's dyno at like 1000horses or more.  but they cant get all that power to the wheels fast enough and their 1/4 mile times are slow

rice is for eating, not driving

What kinda headers would I need for a TT? I'd probably have to make my own, right?

STS turbo  =)

If you're not familiar, you can use your exhisting exhaust manifold and the turbo actually mounts back further in you exhaust.  The downfalls is that you have to use more intake piping, and there is just a slight loss in boost, but there really is no lag and it makes more room under the hood.  And you can basically use your turbo as a muffler, so it sounds pretty tootin nice.  I'll say  it's also cheaper, due to not needing turbo manifolds.

Damn, beat me to the quote!! ha ha

I'll be damned if he even needs a kit.  Like I said before...  The turbos, piping, carb seal, fuel pump & regulator; also an intercoolers (or two).  It will be so sweet.  Just buy some low compression pistons ( 8:1 or 9:1) and you're set.

I just realized  you'll need to get  another little oil pump + lines to lube the turbos.  That will be the only hassle methinks.

Turbos are unique and require no engine power . .  ?  Plus David likes what he likes.

Im just not a fan because they inject hot air back into the motor unless you use a intercooler, and after all of that there is so much air piping it become a huge mess.

Yes, damn that 300 extra horsepower for 30lbs of pipe.  Benefits are definately not worth it . . .

dont feel sorry for me, ford is in my blood,  someone in my family has worked for ford since its beginning,  up till about 2002 there was one person of my family working at the dearborn headquarters.  we have always owned ford cars,  and thats not going to change, gas can go up,  but we will still be rolling in a ford

Ok I give, that would be worth it. But 300 hp? Is that on top of what it had before making close to 500hp then?

I avoided this thread long enough. KEEP THE MUSTANG!!! It looks like you made up your mind on that anyway. I myself love cars, old cars, new cars, muscle cars, turbo cars, trucks, big 4x4's you name it, But i have to say, a classic, is a classic. If you own a classic, in my opinion, you just get more respect. The whole" Don't Crush Them, Restore Them". You have a very cool stang, and i would agree, that if they were sitting next to eachother ( the stang, and the turbo). I would have to look at the stang first, then the turbo, and then back to the stang. The Supra would be a very fun car to drive, and does have its place in the "COOL" auto area, but in the long run, you would be another one of those people that say, " I had one of those, and to this day i am sorry i sold it" The Supra would be fun for awhile, but i think it would just be a phase. But like everyine else, you sell that stang, you let me know....

How much is a twin STS kit? Couldn't I run a single intercooler even with a twin setup? And why not a supercharger???? The beautiful sound turbos make mostly! And bragging rights!

Maybe this is a moronic poit of view but not considering how nice the car looks or the power on the engine do you consider how much the new car will worth in say.. 5 to 10 years from now in comparison with your stang? if you hace sufficient money to not to even think about it..go for it and enjoy it

Fast65 being an ex saab owner, 98 900 SE Turbo, I would choose saab over a brought mainly by wankers (BMW) any day a because they  have a boot i could put snowboards, bike and various musical equipment in, plus they are seriously cheap in the UK for the amount of car u get. Also they are very good at pulling volvo's XC-90 out of snow drifts!!!
